Exactly. Controls are hardly the main issue with this title.

How would you know how it tastes, unless you eat it ?

Also, how would the underlined part apply to gaming ? You don't play it until it looks good ? You don't play it until it feels good ?

In my opinion, your analogy doesn't make complete sense.

In my opinion you lack common sense because its not that complicated. The analogy is you try the product even though it looks unattractive and realize its exactly what you thought it was at first glance. You dont have to play the demo for 2-3 hours to know it doesnt appeal to you, not that complicated.

Understand this, I am a long-time gamer who is not a big fan of completely stick-driven controls, so Elite was already on thin ice with me. Nothing about the demo felt comfortable

I really like the controls. Took a little getting used to though. One thing I don't like is players seem to have a rocket up their butt when they jump. It seems they jump a little too quickly. Wished they'd take last years version and give it this years controls and do a little AI tweaking. Don't like the announcers either. I miss Marv Albert. I don't miss the "Czar"

Unfortunately, this is the typical response around here to someone who doesn't care for the game. There are a LOT of people here who have spent a LOT of time learning this game, and still think it's terrible. What's your clever refute to them?

The game took a step back in controls, gameplay, graphics... essentially everything. That is my opinion based on MULTIPLE play-throughs of the demo. You may enjoy it, and that is great, but to the majority of us, this is just NOT a good effort on EA's part... and it has little to nothing to do with amount of time spent or not spent "learning" these so-called complicated controls... and don't fool yourself, they're not that difficult... they're mainly just not that good.

Completely agree with everything you said. I actually deleted the demo after a minute of playing time. Everything about the game just feels and looks horrible: jumping, shooting, rebounding, etc. I'm so disappointed with this game because Live 10 was actually a good game which I purchased last year. NBA Elite has to make a better product to give users an option to play a realistic brand of gaming.

Re: NBA Elite 11 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3, 360)

Tried out the demo today

So i was doing the layup tutorial, why is my guy falling over after every layup? There's no turbo or contact with another player, I'm like casually walking up for a layup and falling over. I know its a small nitpick but how can you claim to have real time physics and not have something as simple as momentum.

Skill based shooting IMO is just a gimmick, you wouldn't even know its there if you hadn't see the bar in practice. The only difference between this and that of the other game is that you adjust left or right when you shoot. Ratings still come into play to determine how wide your bar is, and you still have to time your release.

Is there no icon passing?

Perhaps its due to my short time with the demo, but when i try to iso against the cpu, they either get their ankles broken or they stick me tight, shouldn't there an in between?

CPU PG will dribble out most of the clock, it doesn't seem like they know what they are doing
