um, so you calling NBA Elite 11 a realistic simulation? riiiight.. its far from it, just like NHL 11..

now, dont get me wrong, im buying NBA Elite bc Live gave me the change of pace i needed from the realistic 2k game so to speak. it gave me a casual NBA gamer feel with a touch of realism..

Well NHL 11 is pretty realistic compared to NHL 2k.

Same thing will happen to NBA Elite in the long term. NBA 2k will get worse and NBA Elite will get better.

People are just mad because it is not NBA arcade anymore. You actually have to have skill to play. If anything this is GREAT for hardcore NBA guys because they can control all their players movement instead of pressing a button and having the game decide what happnens

"Physics" have taken the place of motion capturing players to get realistic movement. Players dont have their sig jumpers, all dribble the dame way, all run the same way, and slide around the floor. Bynum is dribbling like Derrick rose in the demo on superstar level Budget cuts at EA or saving some $$$?

Glad you like it, have fun. But as a sim guy this game just doesn't do it for me. Sure its fun and the controls are great but there are just to many thing wrong with the core gameplay and animations to really hold my attention. PLUS im mainly a offline player vs cpu guy and the ai in the game doesn't cut it. This game was made for player vs player so i really have no use for it. But hey as long as you enjoy it thats the important thing.

you bring up a good point. I hardly ever play NHL offline (be a pro at least)

I am a big online player and I do also play franchise with the Bulls. A.I is not the greatest in ANY EA game.. But over time I am sure they will improve that.

They have the core in place. Now the core is inexperienced and young but the potential is there to be great long term

I find this post funny for some reason. First...how 2k get worse when its franchise mode is more indepth and Live lacks game modees all they changed was the my player mode...so deliberate on that. Elite definatly isn't arcadey takes patience and concentration to see the game for what it really is,...but it won't appeal to the standard nba fan. When your player goes into a seizure like convulsion on contact thats not you deciding that.. cause last time i cut to the paint in real life i didn't fling my legs out all wild like
