97....I'm not calling Durant "hype". But guys he hasn't brought any defense yet.

It would even put more fire under the table if we didn't have overall ratings could you imagine. Instead of seeing the players rating you would see the players for how they played. It would cut a lot of the talk about people cheese teams like the heat.

Attribute specific ratings are what really matter but the overall ratings of Dirk and Pierce standout to me. Those two should be rated higher than they are. It's obviously their defensive attributes that probably lead to these ratings but they still should be higher IMO.

Nobody should be rated 97 anyway...that's too high and KD is a great scorer, but he plays no Defense and he's 6'11 and only averages 6 boards a game. Fair passer...decent ball handler.

Re: NBA 2K11: Starting Five Roster Ratings

Dirk is not a great rebounding PF. So if anything, his rebounding numbers/ratings will not help his overall by much.

Playoff numbers are not factored into overall ratings and attributes.

Dirk isn't high in many qualities that make a PF rated high.
Strength
Low Post Def
Def Aware
Rebounding
Blocks

So why is it that you expect Dirk Nowitski to have a high overall rating as a power forward.

I know you're not comparing him to the Big O. I just don't want people people thinking that what Wall did was all-time. Wall's numbers by the way: 16.6 points, 6.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds.
I rest my case. If you have to go back to the 50s to find a PG with a substantially better freshman season then I have no problem calling Wall and alltime great.
