LT & Up on the Stick for Two hands up

45 degrees to the left for the right hand challenge and 45 degrees to the right for the left hand challenge.

I really like the whole 1:1 hand control on defense, it's just too bad that this stuff doesn't really affect skill shooting.

I guess JWIll is just an expert on the sticks because I find Superstar very difficult to make shots in general, nevermind contested shots. The whole skill-based shooting opens up the possibility for streaks, but what makes a 5 shot streak in Elite less fair than the same thing in Live 10 when the game decided if you were hot or cold? I think probability based shooting is great in that it eliminates crazy streaks that are possible on easier difficulties in Elite, but skill-based shooting is great in that it eliminates "scripted" stretches of the game where in spite of "playing better basketball" the game has you missing all of your shots.

I seen a couple post where people say they have been going 10/10, 9/10 and so on. If thats true then you are very talented at this and i dont see why you would not like that. it means you are doing something right. I just dont understand. If a player shoots 40% from the field irl do you want the game to make 40% of his shoots go in the make the rest go out, our have that reflected in how big the sweet spot is at different spots on the court which is what dna is for.

I hardly make shots that im being contested on from mid range on out. The cpu on the other hand is just like live 10. when they are down it seems like every player shoots like kobe

And i like that about having to have the ball in the correct hand. Everytime i have to ball in the wrong hand guess what happens. The cpu knocks it out. it punishes me for making that mistake.

So i assume your not a simulation sports gamer and more of someone who just wants to have fun then by all means Elite is for you.

You guys don't understand though, user skill in a game is not true simulation or creates that concept if everything depends on the user. If a player in real life shoots 20 from the 3pt line in a real basketball video game i want it to reflect that. A game should be influenced by 20 percent user and 80 percent individual player skill believe it or not its rare but kobe misses open threes this game takes away from realism of basketball and replaces it with fun. THis game is if anything fun, my 7 year old was the only reason i was going to buy this game. He can't even get the controls down and its difficult for me so..i gotta cut it loose

The error with this game is far beyond presentation itself but that it does not accurately reflect player skill i find ray allen wide open in the game but miss the 3 because i was slightly off with my shots. This is wrong, not that the chances of the shot shouldn't be depended on by me but that ray allen would more than likely make that shot. Just because i'm training with O neal in the practice mode making 3's dosen't mean i should be able to shoot them in a game it does not reflect simulation

When you are shooting the sweet spots, or the green areas that you have to get the bar in does reflect the player skill and it is up to you to get it in that area. With the ray allen example the "sweet spots" would be so large that you should make that shot. In every basketball game if you are off with the timing no matter if you are open or not you are going to miss the shot. That is why i said a video game can not truly replicate things that make a shot go in like bending the wrist, follow through, the proper power from you jumping, the guide hand, etc, etc. But elite to me has done the best to date to mimic that with the power and accuracy part of the shooting mechanics. I feel that is pretty realistic to me seeing the fact that you cant replicate those things i said that determine weather i shot goes in
