My motto is don't play basketball, play 2K11. During the Madden Challenge there were many players who ignored the nuances of the video game. Their thought process was all about what happened in the NFL. No matter how good a game is, and this one looks very good, it's still a video game. Shots are made with stick moves and button presses, rather than by flinging up an arm and following through with the wrist movement and hand. NBA2K11 seems, from the videos, to have a lot of real basketball elements in it which will force gamers to pay attention to plays and assignments. But pay attention to the elements unique to the video game too.

Re: NBA 2K11 Isomotion/Shot Stick Help (360)

its just better using the sticks to pull the moves off...

its gonna b random with buttons...

wit the sticks u kno exactly wht move you are goin to pull off becuz ur making tht motion

a crossover is a cross over...hold the trigger, move the ball to the opposite hand

a spin is a spin...hold the trigger spin the stick

its actually pretty simple...

dnt b fooled by the amount of moves...tht jus means more control...

the moves are not hard 2 pull off. especially the dunks...its simply a matter of left right up or down.

the stick movements dnt get any more complicated than a half circle and thts a half spin but how often do you use that move?

controls are perfectly fine...i jus think u should take the time and get used to them...

the easier a video game is...the less likely hardcore gamers are 2 play with longevity.

if the game was too easy like u say the mac interface is, where would the fun b?

computers interfaces and video game controls are nothing alike either...

sure u want the interface to b bareable but u cnt compare the 2....

The key here is to not manipulate the LS at all. Just keep it held in the direction the player is going and do your best to pull the RS directly away from the basket.

After reading your post I was able to pull off 3 step backs in a row with Fish and Kobe.

Hope that helps.

I don't know, I'm just not feeling these controls at all, they are dated.
Hey guys, think of the game "Street fighter" at the begining ppls think very comlicated cos u have to learn so many move with half circle, z, qtr circle of the control sticks with different buttons to do all different move, but that's the reason the game so SUCCESS n the Street fighter really effect the game of generation.
Like Street fighter If u dont like to pull off this kind of move u can just hit the button to do kick or punch maybe u still can win the game but u cant enjoy the fun of the game.
I'm glad that 2K team design the game like this yr with different move to bring the game to the other advance level, u have to study the move, partice hard to feel the truely deep fun of this game.
Ppls think comlicated in 2K11 still can just hit simple button to do the shoot n pass maybe still can win the game, but I suggest this guys buy NBA Eilte 11 or play NBA live 10.

You can also move the left stick away from the basket as you press the shoot button if you're not a shot stick user.
