Both things would probably happen, but you'd see the latter, 95% of the time in an NBA game. Just because they attempt a dunk attempt doesn't mean it NEEDS to be a dunk. Go hard to the rim and finish strong with a layup.

If I want him to dunk he should attempt the dunk not a layup. I will layup if I want to layup

The above sounds like something that belongs in NBA Street

Fine if that is the game you want to play, but it not my choice and if Elite gives they user that choice it is not the game for me especially if you are able to score using those unrealistic abilities.

Yeah, I agree with that. User has the ability to control what shot attempt you will make. Problem is, Fisher isn't dunking like that, so it's unrealistic and makes the game look bad depending on the user.

Fisher couldnt even guard Troy Hudson let alone dunk a basketball

Both guys you just named had multiple knee surgeries anyway. The more you explain it the more unrealistic it all sounds

which is exactly what im saying....why even add those abilities to certain players to begin with ?

I think your getting me confused with the other posters here

It's all user based anyways. You can change your shot if you want to already right? And if you dont he should miss the dunk. The same way you should miss if a guy who can dunk attempts a dunk that not in his arsenal or is not in a position to complete it.

Re: NBA Elite 11 Videos and Impressions From the Boost Mobile Elite 24 Event

I think the problem is not a having a turbo button. Because in any other basketball game if you wanted to dunk you usually had to be holding the turbo button.

But he still shouldn't have dunked from the dotted line (it wasn't the freethow line people).

So if it's just up on the sticks like a regular jump shot, then I can see where weird things might happen. Say your running a fastbreak, you got a defender in front of you and you just want to pull up at the free throw line. but because of the controls and lack of dunk modifier you end attempting a dunk from the free throw line instead.
