Nice to see others being very positive about the demo. I pre-paid before the demo...and now after it's release, I'm glad I did.

The one thing that Jayson said kinda caught my eye. When he said you could still skate circles [or whatever] around the cpu AI. That's not what I'm experiencing on the higher levels. Man, the AI seems to be all over me in a freaking hurry. Which imo is a good thing. Imo, the AI defense seems very solid for '11'.

Well I am still playing video games at age 38, so you might be right.

Well I'm totally excited for NHL 11 and the demo was great for the most part. The thing I hated was the settings and how to this day developers won't unlock sliders and such for demos. It would not only give it more replay value while waiting 3 weeks for the actual game, but then we could turn off annoying things like the auto skate backwards. I also noticed they have the Cpu Difficulty slider cranked for the demo, so playing on All Star feels more like Superstar, which in turn feels virtually impossible.

Maybe he was playing on PRO, cuz i was smoking the CPU on PRO..but as i moved up to all-star it was much more challenging and satisfying. also, don't forget the CPU Diffuculty slider is at 0 i believe. i cant wait to get my hands on the sliders lol

Just an FYI auto skate backwards is in controller options in the demo. you can turn it off.

I always do manual line changes. That way I have more control and I can make sure the matchups favor my lines.

Yeah the "pause" between pressing the line change button and and your lines actually appearing on screen is real annoying.

I hope that is something that gets fixed in the retail build.
