Is Madden's Gameflow a Revolution or a Gimmick?

I think what most people should be asking themselves is would you rather have gameflow and gameplanning, or improved franchise and career modes?

mabye gameplanning is decent, but gameflow is just a complete joke, of a main feature ea is trying to make it out to be. Seriously, why would any hardcore gamer want the AI to chose your plays for you. I want to have control of my own destiny. Whether ea wants to admit it ornot, this is Ask Madden 2.0 with gameplanning included. I would have rather they did something to franchise mode and supertar mode, then worry about the computer helping me to chose plays. To also tell you the truth, the amount of time it takes to play a game should have been way down ea's list of issues to address.

@prey,,,, I think they go hand and hand make your gameplan and watch it play out.......p.s. There is no reason to bring chise or superstar up because we all dont play the chise mode...

The reason why you let the AI pick the play is pretty simple. You are the quarterback, the quarterback of a team that has paid good money for an offensive coordinator (why else would they be in the game). On Sunday most of the QBs don't call their own plays, but instead give them a chance to read the defense before the snap and audible out. Gameflow is pushing the Madden franchise more towards their tagline "If it's in the game, it's in the game." Same thing with defense, there is a defensive coordinator calling the shots. If your gameplanning is set to how you normally pick plays then you should take advantage of Gameflow to bring more realism to your game.

I'd say take the time and set your gameplan, you can't knock it unless you fully give it time...and I'm talking about a good few hours planning and practicing to see it in action. The ultimate question is.....are you man enough to excel at madden when you aren't in total control? That's the true test...

so basically what you are telling me is that i should atleast take the time to take on the chance that they have given me less control of my own team? seems like we are going backwards in what we want.

How are you taking less control of your team if you pick out all the plays for game plan?

not gameplan but gameflow is a joke. I dont mind picking my plays, but having the computer chose my plays for me is a joke, and in any case it gives me less control.
