what is with all the dropped interceptions? the game should punish you for making stupid throws. and reward you when your opponent makes stupid throws. this has been a problem for a long time with madden. nearly every throw in this game is an automatic mulligan.

and please don't mention sliders; they're useless for online. and besides, i shouldn't have to adjust the game myself in order to get it to play correctly.

3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.

One thng I do is put the game threshold on 85 and very slow to avoid the huge gaps between WR and CB. Just like Madden 10 with the threshold on anything under 75 your going to see WR wide open running for the quick 6(TD) resulting in balloon scores. Try the game at 95 and very slow you shouldnt see that again. Im have a blast with the demo and my scores are around 17-10 and Im using the Jets on all-maddden with the cpu all tune to 30 in settings.

i can see wayne beating cromartie one on one like that. it's his pursuit after the catch that seems way off. maybe that's what you're referring to?

edit:

what difficulty was that on?

You do realize the game will be played by millions of people and theres no way its finely tuned for everyone. For me its too easy out of the box but that doesn't mean the next guy feels that way but im sure you consider this right? As far as the INTs go that happens at time if you let the CPU do the work but if you gofor the pick manually you rarely see it unless the player your using catching is low. DR on the Jets gets too many for me even if I dont control him so it could be a matter of the player.

My apologies, that was on Pro. I thought I switched it to All Pro. My bad. I'm deleting that post.

Not really feeling the demo. Gameplay is the same as last year. I see a ton of comments about how good Gus Johnson sounds, but I don't think we're hearing the same thing. There are too many long pauses and awkward outburst. "He drops back.....HE HAULS IT IN!.....3 yard gain." It just does not flow. I also never hear him and Collinsworth interact. They spent an entire year hyping a feature that most people will not even use. Pure GIMMICK. Speaking of gimmicks, ProTack seems to be even worse. In my first game on All Madden difficulty I seen the animation where the ball carrier spins out of the a gang tackle 4 times.

Same animations from years past, minor cosmetic changes, commentary that sounds disjointed, dis-interesting gameplay on the defensive side of the ball, static and overpowering o-line play, generic overlays, dead sidelines, even WORSE tackling than I can remember, no real discrepancy between players in terms of the way each "feel" despite "locomotion", literally synchronized skating taken place on the field BECAUSE of "locomotion". Then to top it off, one of the most noteworthy features in this years game "gameflow" is pretty much useless to me as I would turn it off when playing the full version of the game. I'm not going to even touch on the "strategy pad...."

This feels more like a patch then it does a brand new game. I'll play more when I return home to see if I can find some new overriding good things but the things I named really stood out to me, and most of it have been plaguing this series for several years & running.
I agree 100%!

In the demo version they cut out a lot of the commentary so hopefuly the full version is better.
