I'm surprised more people aren't complaining about the Drew Bree's huddle pregame ritual for EVERY team this year???

From my experience with the demo, here is my quick review (All-Pro settings):

Pros:
+IMO the running game is improved mainly due to blocking AI upgrades. I found it to be more enjoyable than in the past.

Cons:
-Play-action pass is nearly an insta-sack (and yes I set up the play action, I run a lot).

-Extremely hard to get sacks. I used varied blitz packages and sometimes even when unblocked and laying a hit on Manning, he would still make extremely accurate throws pretty far downfield. I probably have 2-3 sacks total in 5 or so games on the demo. I understand Manning delivers the ball quickly and has great awareness, but he's been getting off throws where I have him dead to rights.

-DBs drop too many balls.

-Strategy Pad

-Quite a few stutters when transitioning between animations. Game seems to struggle at times with selecting which animations to use, which gives it a somewhat herky-jerky feel IMO and it yields results which look very unnatural. Proper physics based collisions and proper multi-player tackles would be a very welcomed addition IMO. Suction blocking and tackling are still prevalent and they will continue to be a problem until a new physics engine is implemented.

I also had an ugly onside kick attempt experience, where, upon review, the kicker never actually came into contact with the ball, which then defied the laws of physics and did not touch the ground (floating about a foot off the ground after an initial downwards trajectory) and then suddenly warped upwards straight into the receiver's hands.

Being exclusively an offline franchise guy, the gameplay did not blow me away to the point where I feel like I need to pick the title up and will most likely wait and see what they do with my favourite mode for next year's game.

Drew bree's ritual is not that serious......I personally like the demo and the way the game plays....but im not that picky so there you go.....I'm expecting the retail version to have better camera option thats all I need so far..

Man Coverage Problem:

Difficulty: All Madden

Receiver: D. Clark
Defender: B. Thomas
Route: 5 yard out

Issue: D. Clark runs 5 yards up, then cuts right. B. Thomas doesn't see this, he continues to run about 7 more yards up field before he realizes that he's covering nobody, then finally tries to adjust. Obviously by this time D. Clark has about 20 yards of separation.

Issue: D. Clark runs a flat route and stops. B. Thomas overshoots this by about 7 yards and continues to run OUT OF BOUNDS, almost reaching the gatorade table before he realises, that A: Holy crap I'm out of bounds!! and B: I'm just really not good at man coverage

I'm all for superior route runners to get separation on an inferior defender, but the above examples are insanely extreme and should never be seen at the college level let alone the NFL level.

Second Issue with the Demo:
R. Wayne and J. Addai break WAY too many tackles... its pretty ridiculous really. I saw J. Addai shake off K. Jenkins in the backfield, no way that would ever happen.

Then just about any catch R. Wayne makes, he breaks the first tackle.

Demos are supposed to make you want to buy the game. EA has some sort of twisted logic that they ASSUME we will buy it, and so a few weeks before release they release a build of the game they were using in April, in order to show their biggest changes, and probably to sate us until the game comes out...well, it didn't work for me with Madden, EA.

Not impressed at all; with the exception of the mindless gameflow option and some jacked up changes in on field playcalling and formation shifts, this seems to be the same old MEDIOCRE Madden we've seen for the past 2 years. I'll pass.
