I'm baffled the more I play regarding the kicking stick. I mean it wasn't that long ago that that the analog kicking meter was a big feature, now we are back to Techmo bowl control?
Why not just make the kicking meter move slower for kickers with high accuracy and power and fast for worse rated kickers?

If this was a PC game it would be a 19.99-29.99 add on or expansion pack, not a whole new release.

Had a few more games and I have to say I'm surprised how well I'm adapting to the strategy pad. Like someone said, it's all those years of instinctively pressing buttons that has to be changed.
I actually went straight to NCAA11 and back again and didn't find it much of a problem.

I really liked Madden 10 and this has the potential to be better certainly. I know a lot of people say there won't be that much difference between the demo and retail, but I always seem to notice a big difference. The demos for both NCAA and Madden always strike me as rough, which of course, they are.
I generally am never impressed by any sports demo. I thought the NCAA11 demo was ok, but not as amazing as many others found. However, I LOVE the final game.

I don't think Madden 11 will be football gaming heaven, but if it's a more polished version of the demo, then I'll be very happy. Personally.

Oh, the stadium sounds can be great. Sam Spence pre-game doesn't do much, but Rock n Roll part II? Love it.
If that feature, along with fight songs, is tuned and polished, like I said, I think it has the potential to have a huge effect on the atmosphere.

Nope. Triangle and down will not work anymore. For what you are talking about it's now (D-Pad)ANY+(D-Pad)UP+(D-Pad)DOWN.

Ian says it's better in the long run. I and many others disagree.

Why are there so many problems with this game?

1.) Johnson/Collinsworth = by far the worst duo they've had in ages
2.) Strategy pad is about as intuitive as playing the game by eating the controller
3.) Rubberband AI still exists
4.) Players still skate
5.) GameFlow = glorified customizable Ask Madden
6.) Awkward crowd noise
7.) Defensive assignment showing up on field every play, have to hit right trigger to make it go away
8.) Playing like a drunken fratboy is still the most effective strategy (WOOO ROLLOUT AND THROW ANOTHER BOMB, BRO)

I want sim football, and I will never get sim football. This makes me sad.

I was depressed today after trying the demo. Thanks for making me laugh with that #2 comment. Lol.
