i think the game is great. simple as that. i thought my EA sports football days were over after last yrs games(just got tired of the same recycled gameplay every year), but this yr it actually feels like a new game to me. 2 thumbs way up.

What's up with the playcalling system? I don't mind the format, but the play selection screen. You have 3 plays listed and have to scan over the play of your choice and hit A. Talk about making things hard. Way to streamline things EA!
HOLD LT/L2 and you can select 3 plays....Click the RS and go to advanced playcalling....Choose ASK COACH....There are options.

I ONLY use ask coach.....gives me the Offensive coordinator feel...I only pick from the 3 shown..

After playing all of the games in the demo, I am beginning to come around to it, although I am finding that completing a pass is almost impossible no matter if your on Heisman or Varsity. It seems like even if your reciever was able to get around the defensive back, which rarely happens, another defender will always magically turn right away even if he is running a different direction, and will magically turn and get to the the ball within a second to swat it away. And running the option is too easy if you make the correct read and the QB keeps it. Thats not how it is in college football. Even if you make the correct read, you may not pick up a huge chunk of yardage, especially if the QB keeps it. In the game, when I hand it off in a correct read, the RB does not pick up a huge chunk of yardage ever, and only picks up about 3 or 4 yards. The QB, however, picks up a huge chunk of yardage almost all the time. The least amount of yardage I picked up was 6 and the most was about 30, and I am constantly picking up anywhere from 10 to 25.

How come there is no replays in the demo where the user can view the play? HMMMMMMMM...i wonder if EA scared of the youtube and other outlets that will examine the game through replays.

Some things I like, but some of the same old problems are still there too. Sliders that actually work will be the key for this game.

Or, more likely, it may be that they've never included instant replay (I don't think anyone has) on a demo, because it's already 1.66 GB, and that would just add to it? It already takes some people a ridiculously long time to download this.

And if the issue is so small that you need instant replay to see it, it's not that big of a deal.

One mistake I've found is that I saw a player make a nice catch near the sideline, but fall in bounds. He wasn't ruled dead though. He got back up, and I tackled him.
