The commentary is broken. I hear them talking about things that aren't even happening.

The CPU completed a pass downfield, then I forced a fumble. Then I hear the announcers talking about "That's the risk you take when running an option" or something.

I still haven't won yet. 0-5 all on Heisman

Lost two OT games. Seems like im the only one who hasn't. Not complaining, should be hard to win on heisman

It's a bit better if you switch the playcall screen to the advanced view (click the right stick down) and then, as someone else suggested, hold LT to switch to the Bluff view -- you can scroll three plays at a time that way.

But yes, it looks like the devs botched the playcall screen this year. There are 40 plays in the 4-3 defense; that's a lot of scrolling to pick ONE play in the middle.

Bad design decision. Sometimes I think EA just makes changes to disguise the fact that the game is made of 75% recycled materials.

Found a small bug

Well playing as Florida......FSU scores on a pass and I commit a Roughing the passer penalty,

instead of keeping the TD and declining it, they accept it and have to score again.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

Here are my impressions, as someone who has played literally 1000 next-gen NCAA games against the CPU. I play on Heisman.

GOOD

Locomotion - The first time I played as a DE I realized the power of this addition. I think this will really separate the men from the boys in the game. I do believe the WR's still make their cuts way too quickly.

Running animations - though it feels a little weird at first, I think the players look much more lifelike in general

Playbooks/legit no huddle - the no huddle offense was quite tough to play against defensively, which I thought was awesome.

Presentation - the game looks good, and the presentation is pretty nice. As I knew would happen, I began skipping them literally after my first game. I just don't care. I'll never understand why people cry so much over this.

CPU out-of-bounds logic - finally, they actually cut upfield rather than going out of bounds.

A legitimate NEED to use slide protect - I learned early on that slide protect is not only useful, but required to protect yourself on Heisman.

BAD

Playcalling
- ugh. what to say? I've used ask corso for years to even the playing field. Looks like I'll be doing it again this year. Still WAY too many 4 deep zones, QB runs with a pocket passer, and with the all new 120 ways to win, why does it tell me that Texas likes to spread the ball out and then put me in a 2 TE, I-FORM on a 2nd and 9. I mean WTF are you DOING?

Deep game - Good news: receivers can actually get open deep. Bad news: it happens all the time and 80% of the time they drop the ball with no one around.

new playcalling system -UGGHHHH

TERRIBLY, HORRENDOUSLY, GAME-BREAKINGLY AWFUL
CPU Screen game - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CAN YOU FIX THIS EA?? For 3 freaking years, the CPU has been completely unable to throw a screen pass to the RB. In 3 games this morning, every single screen play I saw the CPU run resulted in a sack. 6 freaking screen plays, 6 freaking sacks. I'm tired of 15 sack seasons for DT's. This will break the game if it stays remotely this bad.

CPU CONTROLLED PLAYERS on HUM TEAM PASS RUSH - I can't tell you how many times in the demo the QB dropped back, everyone was covered, so he literally stood there for 5+ seconds and then found a wide open WR somewhere in my zone. It's so on and off. One play, 3 DL will meet at the QB. The next play, they'll all get plastered on their butts. It's AWFUL. There is no in-between. I'm praying this can be fixed with sliders. Otherwise, it will be another terribly frustrating year for slider-makers.

OVERALLA step forward in many areas, a step sideways or even backwards in some core gameplay elements. I have a good feeling about the playability of this game, but I think it will take a couple of patches to realize it's potential. First on the docket and undeniably crucial is the CPU screen game. Second is the pass rush. Admittedly, these things could be tweaked in the retail version and be much better. I'm not holding my breath. Start complaining now, because I don't want to see this game mired in mediocrity for a couple of issues when it has the chance to be the greatest next-gen version by a mile.

That's a pretty major bug -- but I suspect it'll be zapped in the finished game.
