They really need to fix the shooting animations themselves,it feels like the perfect release for most ppls shot is when they're on they way down, instead of at the peak of the jump...also.they really need to add more animations in all areas...and please give us some real features that we want...like a FULL FEATURED DEEP DYNASTY MODE,complete with recognition for accomplishments like awards and championships, full stat tracking, dleague, summer league, great all star weekend experience like the one brought out in 2005 with carmelo on the cover, one of my favs...just real features for us hardcore fans that want a true simulation without feeling one bit of being cheated or bs moments...they've got some great ideas but its just worthless iif they don't build around and up from this solid foundation...and with all the bs from recent yrs (cept last yr kinda),the pressure is on to deliver this yr.and they put it on themselves.I don't wana wait another yr for a vision to play out that doesn't even live up the the hype, let alone the expectations

They make it sound like it's possible to hit 100% of your shots if you're skilled enough. Including that ridiculous half court shot statement.

Which isn't humanly possible. You can do everything right, have perfect form, the right touch, and it'll still rim out, thanks to some minute, fractional, microscopic difference from the previous shot which was nothing but net you were completely unaware of. There's a measure of luck involved in any sport.
Well, if you do EVERYTHING right, you're shot will go in, no question. That's just pure physics at work. Like you said though, real minute differences can change everything. The question is, how difficult will it be to get EVERYTHING right when taking a shot in Elite 11? It should be near impossible to do on a consistent basis. If they tweak it right, I don't think it should be of concern. If they don't though....look out for some 15 for 16 nights from downtown. I have a feeling they will manage to find a nice medium in that regard. Plus, this doesn't take into account defensive pressure. There are many shooters where if they are left alone, they will burn you for a 90% shooting game, but with some defense, they drop to 45-50%. I think though, if you are wide open, and you are set, and you pull that stick perfectly up and you time it right, you should hit the shot 99% of the time, really.

Yeah but when people are wide open in real life they don't hit the shot 99% of the time, and I wouldn't expect that in this game either.

The reason why in real life they don't hit the shot wide open is because something went wrong with their mechanics, either they shot too long, too short, far left/right, either way its their fault.

Just like in elite, if you miss a wide open shot its your own fault, either you pushed the stick a little left or right, or held it to long/short. That's why it becomes a skill to get the same movement every time, just like real players get the same movement on their shot. Muscle Memory.

So are you really arguing the point that your open shots in the game should go in 100% of the time if you move a little stick perfectly?

If so let's get real. No real player can hit 100% of their open shot so neither should we.
