Not mocking at all.
Annual bug counts are going up every year (everyone sees them in their day-to-day delving into the application). There are also tons of usability issues (can't even count anymore how many people have brought up how much they dislike navigating through the menus). And online? I'm not going there.
Thus, since Littman quite often states publically how they have a small team and lack resources, the only other logical conclusion is one year is not enough time inbetween releases. If it's mocking to suggest alternatives to the now ancient annual release methodology (which EA wrote the book on by the way), well, there's nothing else I can say.
For many years, I interfaced with EA forum members and former Community Managers. When you see and report the same bugs in 3 years worth of releases (meaning they never fixed it), I guess it takes a toll on a person eventually.
Have I been sarcastic/condenscending in the past after years and years of frustration? Naaaaa.
