Abiner,

I'm not going to say who is wrong or right, but your posts can come across as slightly condescending and arrogant.

You post in a tone and manner that is off-putting.

Perhaps you're right. Perhaps not.

Want another? "You do realize however that EA re-writes the entire game in a year whenever there is a new platform to support it on correct?" Really? you don't think its possible that they have dev kits for new systems ahead of time and are able to start building a title prior to a console launch?

Its the tone of your posts, that sort of "I know the inner workings at EA and I'm mad things aren't done like I want them to be"

I'll be the first person to agree with you that there are times where EA Sports titles don't progress enough from year to year, but give some credit where its due in the case of the NHL sku, its done nothing but gotten better since 07 and it appears that it very well make a major leap forward this year should all this physics engine talk pans out the way we'd hope it does.
Not mocking at all.

Annual bug counts are going up every year (everyone sees them in their day-to-day delving into the application). There are also tons of usability issues (can't even count anymore how many people have brought up how much they dislike navigating through the menus). And online? I'm not going there.

Thus, since Littman quite often states publically how they have a small team and lack resources, the only other logical conclusion is one year is not enough time inbetween releases. If it's mocking to suggest alternatives to the now ancient annual release methodology (which EA wrote the book on by the way), well, there's nothing else I can say.

For many years, I interfaced with EA forum members and former Community Managers. When you see and report the same bugs in 3 years worth of releases (meaning they never fixed it), I guess it takes a toll on a person eventually.

Have I been sarcastic/condenscending in the past after years and years of frustration? Naaaaa.

They only started working on NHL 07 on Xbox 360 after 06 shipped.

I was under the impression EA Montreal handled 06.

Funny never noticed anyone complain about the menus or navigating online. You sure you're not talking about that abysmal mess of a menu system that 2k Nav has become?

Again though if you can't see the actual improvements, and are so focused on the negative all the time (which the majority of your post are the last couple years) it shouldn't be much of a surprise when people notice a sarcastic or condescending tone to your post now should it?

By all means, revert to comments made spanning two years in support of your viewpoint. The fact remains, all I asked was a question.

Point taken regarding not buying the product. Thanks.

Oh, and I'm glad someone else stepped up with regards to NHL 07 being developed only after 06 shipped...a cumulative code re-write with full regression testing in only one year. Like I said previously, it's just a 3 year wait and $180 in costs to get most of the functionality back.

Its kinda just stating the obvious, you're generally extremely negative about EA Sports is all. And I still seem to recall it was EA Montreal that worked on 06 for PS2/Xbox1 and PC? Though I could be completely wrong on that one. At any rate there wasn't an EA NHL game year one on 360 while 2k ported over 2k6 pretty much directly even adding new glitches like the money shrug goal.

I still think that even if it was just a year turn around what 07 was being a new core was still a far better way to do it. And really no one is holding a gun to your head to pony up $180 dollars to buy every year, if having a 3 year plan or what not bothers you so much just buy it once on the last year of the cycle. Personally for me the game has improved every year since 07, not always drastically mind you, but improved none the less. Obviously YMMV.
