People "defend" that game tooth and nail over there too (those that are fans of it, of course). It happens in every forum I've viewed (and not just here...and not just with video games...lol) and it's usually because people are frustrated with the ignorant complainers and begin to unintentionally lump everyone with a gripe in the same group. Kind of the old "one bad apple..." sort of thing.

And to be fair to Pared, he uses the exact same logic on this kind of stuff regardless of the forum. From a moderation standpoint, he doesn't interfere with constructive criticism...and that's what this all comes down to. If you're constructive, you'll rarely have a real issue with anyone (that's a collective "you" btw...not implying you personally need such advice).

And they've been able to. No one has said otherwise.

No one likes to point out the many comments littered with disappointment that go untouched or responded to in the forums, just the ones that get mentioned. Just like this discussion.

Everyone is all for fair and balanced discussion. Those are the comments I'm referring to.

I may sound like a d-bag when i say this but i dont understand how you take a break when you have an unfinished product. It would be a completely different situation if the bugs are just in the commentary and dont hinder a gameplay mode. But it sucks that you can't start a franchise until a patch is released because if you start it now, you may have to restart it once the patch is released in order for it to take affect. I've said it once and i'll say it again, would've been better if they didnt rush the release and just held it back until early April to make sure the bugs are fixed. You dont test a product for bugs by putting it out in the public and looking at forums, you test a product behind the scenes. The forums should be used for minor bugs and suggestions, not for some of the issues that are currently out there.

I don't know where to report problems to, so i figured i would just try this forum first. During game play, and i'm on defense, a fly ball will be hit and my guy is ready to catch it. Then the ball will drop to the ground and keep going. Then about 3-4 seconds later it's in his hands. Like he caught it to begin with. All the while the runner(s) keep trucking around the pads. Anyone else experience this. It's not all the time. I have played about 23 games and it's happened twice.

I don't think the working for months without a break is the problem, it's working 80+ hours a week for months without a break that is the problem. Yeah they still do deserve a break because they worked hard and put out a great product that has some unfortunate bugs.

IMO the problem may be that they tried to do too much and didn't put enough focus on the core of the game. The foundation has to be Franchise / RTTS and actual gameplay. Everything else is cosmetic and just puts your product above the rest. While actual gameplay is fantastic the rest of the foundation is a little shaky.

The Money Pit comes to mind but that would be really unfair.
