Yeah, I think something like this may work. Make some of the A potential guys into older guys who aren't in the game to start with. Then, hopefully, they will retire in a year or two and you won't have to deal with them anymore.

I know that there was a similar problem in NBA2K10 where all the fake D-Leaguer's would get promoted over higher rated FA's. So, I went in and changed all the fake players to 45 years old and they retired after the first season. Then, the D-League actually meant something because the FA's actually played because there were no fake guys to fill in.

I know this is a different situation but, I think I would rather have most of the guys with A potential retire rather than take over the league in a few years. However, I guess that could open up a whole other can of worms... What do the incoming draftee's potential's look like?

No, you have to go to the menu that has the option to "download live roster." It is on the online menu.

LOL at that. I haven't been paying too close attention because I was waiting for this roster thinking that the potential issue would be completely corrected and I could start my franchise. If all these issues are still there, then that mode is completely broken as far I'm concerned. I will just play Seasons and control all 30 teams to work around the issues that will inevitably come up there as well.

Potential rating in this game, also tells a players ceiling.
The problem before is that superstar players had a C potential rating, when their overall rating was of a A potential player.
If you raise the attributes of player above his potential ceiling, they will drop in ratings every year until their actual ratings match their potential rating.
