Re: NCAA Football 11 Screenshot and Nine Changes Listed and Detailed

I'm the "worst nightmare" for most of the members of this board because I buy the game every year regardless of what is or isn't in the latest version. If 11 was nothing more than 10 with just the 9 enhancements mentioned, I'd buy it. $65 just isn't enough of a dent in my check book to make me worry about whether or not the purchase is "worth it" or a "good investment". By no means am I implying that I'm rich, hardly, I work, day in/day out like everyone else, but $65 isn't in any way going to make or break my year.

I think these types of purchases have a lot to do with where you are in life. I'm more inclined to fret and worry over buying a car or new kitchen appliances because I know I need to make "good investments". If I was still a highschool or college kid, then yeah, I'd probably need to see more progress from EA before I purchased the game.

At the end of the day, I'm 35, married with two kids and a career. If I have to worry about whether or not a $65 video game is a good investment or worth the risk then I've probably made a lot of bad decisions in the previous 35 years.

I like EAs version of football. I don't need to be "sold" every year. I'm buying regardless.

If you enjoy this game every year then nobody should have a problem. I think the problem is with somebody who isnt enjoying the game or think its sub-par and still purchase it.

Exactly. 95% of the people on this board are liars. They say that's it's going to be terrible and they gameplay will be a carbon copy yet Madden 10, what have you, yet they buy it anyway.

I think he has a legitimate point though in that it seems as if you should be made to feel guilty for enjoying NCAA or Madden each year by many folks here on this board. However, as for the other side, well sometimes you sometimes can't win for losing either.

If you enjoy the game and make it known, then when you make a complaint you're accused of being hypocritical..and if you have a lot of faults with the game but have faith and buy it again each year then you're labeled as being a liar.

All I know is I enjoy the game but it's further behind in development by where it needs to be by a large margin. I will still purchase it though because I know it'll be worth my money (in regards to getting my money out of it).

Couldn't have said it better man. Needs alot of work (player movement especially) but I still get a game in every now and then. I'm having flashbacks now though, playing the ps2 version lately.

I never begrudge anyone's choices about how they spend their money when it comes to pure luxury items like video games. I'm older than you, and have actually become much, much more discerning over the last few years about buying sports games. Its not even about the money, it just the principle of the thing.

I want A, B, C, and, D in my sports games and if it isn't there or is lacking polish, then I'll pass. No anger, just no purchase.

I'm going to vote with my wallet, and respectfully say my piece about what I want. If at the end of the day developers choose to cater to a larger gaming segment, who want different things then I want, I'll bow out without hanging those gamers in effigy. If someone else is enjoying the hell out of a game, then good for them. I'll get mine with some other game.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
