If EA hadn't bought the NCAA License 2K would be able to make a profit since they would be the only people making College Basketball games, Basically what EA is doing with Madden. People buy it becuase it's the only NFL game out there. But its not possible for 2K Sports to make a C-hoops game becuase of the License, unless EA canceled it.

Your idea sounds intriguing. However, last I heard, they were planning on not making discs anymore and just being able to download them to your console for a price. Of course, maybe it is just rumor.

I only played the 2010 demo, but was impressed by it enough to say that this is a shame.

Downloadable tourney only game?

I mean, surely they can let it simmer on the back burner rather than take it off the stove all together.

Dont be so sure of that. I'm sure they set aside operating expenses for stuff like this even in the midst of their losses.

Without these exclusive licenses, I think EA woulda been dead in the water long ago. Imagine if Sony could get a football team together to make a new football game like The Show.

These licenses are the only thing keep EA's American titles afloat, and they know it.

After the terrible showings from most next-gen sports games, there's no way in Hades I'm buying another "next-next gen" system.

I wish I was a bigger RPG/action game fan..I'd be pretty happy right now. GTA is the only other type of game I own.

Success in one sport (unfortunately)doesn't always carry over to success in another for companies. Perfect example with Sony, the show is great, it's basketball game was not.

this is only my OPINION... but the only true, worth it, next gen, SPORTS game in my eyes is MLB The Show....and MAYBE EA's NHL series...all the other games are just trying to hard to reinvent a wheel that never needed reinventing...only refining.
