The interface & on-screen displays look much more pleasing to the eye then they did last year. The graphics are what they are. VC needs to invest in a new Graphics Engine IMO.

It really looks like the Lighting Engine is gonna be something to watch this year. Though you can't see much, the shadowing here looks nice

Can't wait to see game play action

AI doesn't work like that. We all know that. It's not like they look at the code and say, "Ok code, you make yourself into a baseball game and do it with a smile."

It's what makes video games what they are. If you are playing on pro or rookie, expect silly things. I think what separates some of these devs from each other is the ability to raise the difficulty without making weird things happen.
I have no idea what you're talking about here. AI doesn't work like that? It CAN work like that. And yes, there ARE sports games out there that play like that.

The game sounds good and like he is having fun with it so i'll take it at that. it is a bit concerning, the difficulty levels sound a lot like last year and some of the issues sound no different then any other 2k baseball game i've played. But it one guys opinion. It seems like the game is improved in areas and not so much in others. That's kind of what i expect with this game anyways. I don't expect miracles in one year. Whether the issues he's having are true for everyone is another story. 2k has been talking a lot about the pitcher and batter duels being improved so we will see for ourselves i guess. Talk is cheap anyways and that's all these people are doing anyways. It's like who do you believe? 2k or this guy? I'll believe it when i see it for myself.

It does sound like he is enjoying the game in certain regards and not so much in others. He even points out things he likes better than the Show. So I'll take that as a positive. But it sounds mixed to me. I'm guessing the game gets a 7.5 or an 8 from them which is what i'm expecting anyways. An 8 would do if it keeps me from buying a ps3. It does sound like it may be possible to fix certain things with sliders and other things not so much.

I can almost guarentee this isn't going to be the perfect baseball game though. Maybe after a couple patches it will get close to nba 2k10. But get your sliders ready. I think this game is going to hit its stride next year, but will be a good game this year if you can deal and look past some of its shortcomings. I'm planning on just enjoying it for what it is. I think it will be good, not great.

I really like the fact that he says it feels like a whole new game compared to 2k9.

Yeah it sounds like they are revamping the entire game. That's a good thing. I expect flaws though.

I saw this buried in the comments; Reiner seems impressed.
