Just have to wait and see I guess. Hopefully the demo comes soon. I just don't have a lot of confidence after the last couple years is all, and seeing stuff like this article isn't helping things. My interest is certainly piqued from everything I've read so far, but it seems to me they are still working on features instead of strengthening the core gameplay.

So might that have something to do with the numbers as well?

The good part is he's pitching that many pitches. Last year you could pitch 9 innings and only have a 72 pitch count.

And then he went back to Pro because he was getting clobbered.

This. Not to mention we have no idea if he "WASTED" any pitches trying to get the CPU to chase stuff outside the ZONE. I know people are on the FENCE with this game due to being BURNED before & well you should be, but again we must remember that how 1 person plays a game, will probably differ from another

Exactly. So people are worried about the pitch counts of a guy playing on Pro? Really??

I think I'm overall just more concerned about what kind of players they think we are on Pro. One thing I hate about these companies is they default the game to such a dumbed down level. I don't even necessarily mean "easy", but just dumbed down. Pitches are about halved in speed, every single visual aid is up and running, and camera angles are just ridiculous. It makes it hard to do things like play the demo (no option changes) or watch people play preview builds because they don't change up anything, and it completely misrepresents the game.

Yet, I'll blame 2K for that. Other games don't seem to have that issue where we have to say something like, "It's because they're playing on Pro that you're not seeing that kind of hit variety." It's just weird.

I'd also like to address the way I pitch. I haven't walked any batters yet, but that doesn't mean I'm throwing just strikes. On the Pro difficulty, the batters are aggressive, swinging at most pitches close to the plate. A lot of my strike outs come on curveballs in the dirt, or fastballs inside. On the All Star difficulty, my pitcher became so rattled that I felt like I was throwing batting practice. I couldn't place a ball on the corner to save my life, and in my panic, just threw 'em over the plate. I spent most of the game in the showers.

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10: A Live Journal (Gameinformer)

Are there CPU swinging aggressiveness sliders with pitches in and out of the strike zone like 2K4 - 2K7 had?
