I'm not going to entertain you, but seeing how this works in the studio...hint...it has something to do with collision detection. He's made HIS point now we can move on.

Please don't filibuster this thread with your knowledge.

They need to be corrected.
(1) Catcher's chest protector is actually LARGER than real life. View footage of MLB The Show's catcher and his real life counterpart. The MLB catcher's chest protector is suppose to be smaller and tightly wrapped.

(2) Catcher's chest protector "strap" that wraps around the back FLOATS. In essence, this "strap" doesn't look "functional" but merely a "place holder" of sort. I am surprised no one has spotted this yet. And upon further examination, even the shin-guard "straps" float (not as bad though). But the element of "functionality" does not translate well if they "float" or are "loose."

The "other" game actually has both of these elements done properly.

The following photograph only illustration the comparison of the floating "strap."
I am a perfectionist, and I can honestly tell you that these things are probably the most unimportant I've ever heard. It looks just fine to me, and the fact that the gear 'floats' is undoubtedly just to make sure it doesn't clip with the catcher's body model (which you would be complaining about if that was the case).

I thought this was obvious myself, but oh well.

yes, to most. Just look closely at the managers arms on the dugout rail. Are his arms touching the rail? No. Been like that and collision detection has already been explained.
The devs have really worked on this and you will see the results in the videos.

Some things are capable, some still waiting, but the additions to this game this year are phenomenal. Want to start posting away in the forthcoming "wish list", sure. And this ain't the place for a 2k comparison with all the problems that game has.

This way is better than clipping by far. And is so discernible when you play, compared to clipping would be.

So glad to see the height of the backstop wall at Wrigley corrected. So, so glad. It was my #1 complaint because it threw everything else out of proportion. I know I wasn't the only one contributing to the stadium feedback thread on Wrigley's behalf, but it's nice to see where specific feedback we offer makes its' way into the game. (Community Day guys excluded, of course. )

Everything looks phenomenal; especially the manager overlay, but I'm just really excited about the Wrigley changes. Can't wait to see more over the coming month!
