Yep, I've only gotten 1 game in. D is definitely improved IMO. I struggled with per D before so it seems to be helping me. The rotations seem natural and quick. You can actually run guys off 3s and rotate, rotate, rotate! I might need to turn up the difficulty. I've been struggling to win against any team on pro. As far as the bigs taking 3s... I haven't simmed yet but I will later. But in the 1 game I played(me, Spurs vs cpu, Hornets) West took a couple of 3s of screens but I had already seen him do that befor the patch. Okafer took one but I want to say he was wide open and the shot clock was low... not sure though. Other than that I haven't seen too much crazy 3s by bigs but like I said just 1 game. I'll post more later. i'll sim some association games. I decided to download the patch because I heard the D was improved and that was the main problem for me with this game.

Confirmed for the 360 patch... the bigs taking 3s is alive and well when you sim. Al Jefferson 36-219, Duncan 32-223, Stoudemire 61-241, Elton Brand 33-156, Shaq 20-142. So this sux cause I planned on simming about as much as play each season to speed up and get to the offseason so I can get in more than 1 1/2 seasons... looks like I'll be turning off player roles. I had been a NBA live guy my whole life and just came over to 2k last year, actually I've bought both the last 2 years. Player roles are one of the coolest things about association compared to Live's boring dynasty. Anyway 2k has dissapointed me greatly this time. I think they owe it to their customers to rectify this issue immediatley. Make a 3rd patch for all I care just fix this... seriously.

I think this is one of the roots of the problems in these sports games...

They cant seem to find a balance between HUM vs CPU and HUM vs HUM....

You tweak one thing to fix Hum vs Hum but screw something up for Hum vs Cpu and vice versa...

Online play is def better. I haven't seen anyone mention this, but movement has been tuned and feels much better. This allows you to play better paint D and have more control of your players' moves on the perimeter. Offensive and Defensive awareness seems to have been bumped up a few notches. I've seen a few new animations.

Overall, this is a very solid patch. It fine tuned several core gameplay elements.

Re: NBA 2K10 Patch #2 Available For 360 & PS3, Post Impressions Here

I was apprehensive about downloading the patch because I was very happy w/the game post-patch 1. Background would be: I mostly play NBA Today games and w/the 2K rosters; starting to play online more; haven't gotten that far in my Association. Since I knew I'd miss playing NBA Today games and I don't think the bigs 3-pointer/simmed stats issue will bother me that much I went ahead and downloaded it. Playing w/patch-1 sliders.

The versus cpu gameplay does feel improved. It's subtle: I think they somehow tweaked/improved how the animations interact. I'm noticing little contact and movement anims I wasn't seeing before. Defensive rotations are noticeably improved as is cpu ball movement. Pre-patch 2 I'd get at least 1-2 defensive 3-second calls per game without really trying; haven't had one yet in the few games I've played. Shooting percentages are up in the few games I've played so that'll need adjusting, seems more inside scoring. But I'm liking the way the scoring is occurring for the most part. For example pre-patch 2 I'd want to have the threat of a player like Darren Williams taking me off the dribble so one of my slider tweaks was On-Ball defense in favor of the cpu. I'm playing a Jazz/Spurs game and now his azz is a much more noticeable threat taking it to the hole and beating people off the dribble. I like that I'm having to compensate; just can't bring a warm body out and expect him to be guarded. Defensive rotations are noticeably better, and the cpu is quicker to initiate double-teams against me, not just wait until a player got hot. I think there's better distinction between players so I think you have to play more attention to a player's skill set overall. Big men feel slightly more prevalent. Haven't seen any players take 3-pointers that normally wouldn't.

My post-patch 1 sliders weren't extensive so I may try playing some games at default and work from there. Liking the improvements so far

I was just about to ask someone if they noticed the cpu going to the rack more without passing out of it..so its really noticeable now..as I got tired of seeing Lebron pass out of a drive when he got to the basket...
