Re: NCAA Basketball 10 Available, Post Impressions Here

I am split on this game. I think this game needs major roster edits. I see no difference between slow/fast guards. Mid major athletes versus Big conferences.

That is the biggest problem with the game. Sad thing is I have edited players down and it then plays great.

Global editor....otherwise a lot of time and work to make this game playable for me.

Recruiting isn't hard, if there is a 5* recruit that is interested in your school as "highest" you could offer him a scholarship and you'd have him. The schedules are random, yes I know dynamic update isn't out yet, so when it is out I hope schedules are fixed.

All I play is dynsaty too...and from my perspective - it doesn't suck. It needs improvement - but it doesn't suck and here's my reasoning why:

1) Yes - recruiting can be [too] simple if a recruit is highly interested in your school. That being said - they have scaled back the number of 5 star recruits and if you are at a school that sucks - it does take some effort [and valuable points] to land a big recruit.
2) Truth be told - I find the recruiting in games like NCAA football and CH2K8[especially] VERY tedious. I like the simplified approach.
3) My biggest complaint about dynasty is how it is organized [or lack theroff]. While it's not hard to find the stuff yo want - surely they could tie it in together so it's much more user friendly. That being said - all the info you want is there.
4) The rankings -compared to last year (which were a complete joke) it's much improved and somewhat logical.
5) The schedules..game came out last tuesday and 7 days later the correct schedule wll be in place. I dunno - I can't penalize a game based on that. It's inconvenient and annoying - but I can't trash the whole dynasty wbased on that as a factor.

There were still some that hadn't signed, and I wasn't able to see where they went because after the off season recruiting is over you can't go to the recruting screen to see where players signed.

Also, this was just in the off season recruiting, because in season you are only able to see your short list, not the ESPN 100.
Thanks!

The funniest thing about this game is that they got the team styles/playbooks down so well that I actually hate using UConn in this game because I hate Calhoun's half court offense in real life.

I'm rolling with Michigan more than UConn right now, love bombing away from deep!

nope, actually its not easy, well unless youre playing with a big school. Im playing dynasty right now with a fantasy roster (until i get the updates for a sched. fix then ill start a real one) with north texas.

I tried getting a 3 star center that has a VERY LOW interest in it, and used pretty much all my 200+ points on him, bugged at how prestigious our school is as because "school prestige is a factor for him", and he only got as high as medium. Plus add the fact that he is from a pipeline state, so cost of visiting and calling that dude is pretty cheap.

id say try it out on a small school and you'll see the difference.

for guys have issues with the cpu big men getting the ball in the post and never passing out have you adjusted the following sliders:

CPU Drop Step Effectiveness

USER Post Defense(or whatever its called)

Maybe that has something to do with it.

Cpu posts aren't really using the drop step. It's more a pass and a quick face up jumper that happens too fast to react to. Your only hope is the cpu misses. Right now the shot is too quick and falls at too high a percentage. Also, the turn around fadeaway made its way from Live pre-patch.

I've seen a couple pass outs when I body up in a back to the basket situation. Maybe it was the play call though.
