No OT is a byproduct of a goaltending glitch that gets the score confused. If there aren't any goaltending calls then you won't have a problem when the game is tied.

The goal tending thing did my head in the other night. I was down 98-97 with 10 seconds left and the computer was inbounding the ball. I was all ready to foul them but they threw up a garbage shot before I could get to them! Then when I grabbed the ball on the rebound they deliberately fouled me! I hit the two free throws and won 99-98. I was stunned. But then I realised that the CPU must have thought the score was different because of a couple of goal tending calls earlier in the game. Pretty crazy stuff.

How do you get this patch?EA Locker?I ve never connected my xbox 360 to the internet so if anyone can give me any tips i would be grateful.
What is it with the dna patch?Is it worthy downloading both of them?

I put Live up on eBay this morning, decided it wasn't for me long term. Solid game, does a lot of things right, a huge step forward from Live 09 and I'm sure I will be buying Live '11 on release day next October.

My biggest issue is with how the CPU's offense functions, after a while it just got really stale. Too many "one-pass-n-chuck" situations, their transition game is spotty and doesn't attack the rim enough, very little reading of the defense and has too much of a scripted feel after a while - this became so evident once I started heavily playing CH2K8 again last week. DNA is also a concern for me, though that may be corrected by EA, but I'm skeptical. Contact on drives needs to be fixed, little guards stopping LeBron dead in his tracks has got to go as does the CPU getting so many bad contact animations when driving. As a whole it would be nice to see less contact in Live 11.

I love the controls in this game, it makes it hard to play any other basketball game. It is also the best hum vs hum basketball game I've ever played, sadly I'm not that big into the online scene. Good work this year EA, hopefully you stay on this path and keep improving the game each year.

ehh, im not feeling much different than you man

Its just that, I dont think there are enough situations in this game to warrant this much contact. I think 2k did a pretty good job with guys in the paint contact, putting their hands up, multiple kinds of shots, I even saw Matt Barnes do an NBA Live like move up the middle of the paint, hung in the air adjusted shot, but with no chest to chest contact and it looked pretty good.

Controls are second to none in this game and its hard to get away from that. So is the atmosphere.

That said I can't play it more than one game if that. Im not sure what happened but I went from loving this game to stomaching it again. Too much scripted contact, no defense, limited moves, every team playing defense like the 90's Bulls, no individual seperation, bland post game and sadly this game can barely make it into the 360.

I think that's the whole problem, Live is suffering from an identity crisis. Pre-Patch it was headed in a pure sim direction but gamers who switched from 2K (and others) wanted 2K types things such as the defensive feel. I think the dev's caved into the pressure and dumbed down the game and hyperized the CPU's 1/2 court attack and now it's not as sim and also not as anything as could be. Just kinda blah. Live will probably never catch up to to 2K so I think they should focus on being a "boutique" game in one direction or the other (fun or sim) but something with an identity and then be "All-World" at it!

A game can be sim and fun man. There are things here undone and limited.

You can't add contact to stop driving but only have a couple of animations that dominate the game. Most of the time its not realistic for a few reasons, you dont get fouls, guys dont always just with you chest to chest, let alone hardly at all, or you get sucked into it on defense. The foul calling is one sided in favor of the CPU.

I could go into more but the point is, its not even as fun as it was before. Broken gameplay, broken feature, and broken updates killed the game for alot of people

Not to say it doesnt look good in some areas or play well in some areas or isnt fun at all because it is, but IMO its just undone

I harp on the contact alot because it ruins alot of the driving game alot. Either the CPU can get the foul or completely unimpeded, and you, forget about it, hardly any fouls, or there is always someone bumping you no matter what, especially in air and it simply doesnt happen like that. Like I said, Bron coming down court full speed and he gets stopped on a dime in his tracks by Chris Duhon is a sham. NO foul, noone falling, just a canned contact animation usually not in your favor

I thought this was the best bball game I've played prepatch, but it really changed for the worse.
