thanks for the answer. Follow up as my initial meaning was another one (certainly glad about that aspect though !) : Does the CPU assign different matchups than PG/PG, SG/SG etc. I can go into the strategy screen and assign my SG to guard the PG or my Center to guard the PF.
Does the CPU do that as well ? That was allways missing in the games. Battier should allways guard the other teams best wingplayer, no matter if SG or SF.

From the vids ive seen when playing defense it looks like the momentum takes you out of the play...i thought it was easier to stay in front of your man?

i guess my question is playing defense fun? i always switch to whomever has the ball...i like the challenge

have you tried other camera angles? i like Showtime cam since thats a little closer to the action...

I noticed on one of the konsolekings vids that during the Twolves vs Raps game....the stadium "intro" lights were on during some of the gameplay ???

Is a beta glitch ???

Sorry man, must've missed it. It's there, LT+half circle. LT+RT+half circle gives you behind the back. I think it may be ratings related, because I couldn't do it with everyone. Not quite sure though, honestly, as I wasn't looking for it. I just know it wasn't working with everyone (like some big men).

That's just it, I didn't notice it because the help defense always had guys picking up a man. I'll try and look for it, but it's hard when you are trying to win a game.

One thing to note.. the double teams. No longer a canimation. Controllable with the LB (I think that's the button) and you can tap it again to cancel. The only thing I don't like is the help defense won't recognize the fact that you're doing a double team. So there is a guy wide open and once the pass is made, then help defense comes over. I would have liked to see the CPU cheat a little.

They were not picking this up when I played a game with MC. It might be done on purpose to avoid abuse, but to me it's also not a realistic portrayal of fundamental help defense.

Oh, as for your question about cheese DC. Long passes are more errant and the big men in the paint are deflecting a LOT more passes than any year previously. I still think sliders are need to get the correct shooting %'s as the CPU hits more shots when they are open than they should (again, IMO). I'll try and have some sliders out for you guys that way you will be ready come release. I've already made some slight changes, but they have improved the game immensely for me.

Again though, out of the box, this is a more realistic representation of NBA basketball than 2k9. It's just getting that much better with a few tweaks.

Defense is definitely challenging. The thing that I like about it is the players can really body up. Momentum on defense will definitely take some getting used to. The fact that people aren't really going through each other like in 2k9 makes a huge difference. I think I did see one or two instances where this happened, but it's nowhere as bad that it would be a complaint.

I've tried other camera angles but I have gone back to Broadcast because I was getting slowdown in them. However, this was before I put the game on my hard drive. I need to go back and take a look. I did not notice any slowdown once the game was on the hard drive, but that was only one game.

I have not noticed this. In fact, I've noticed the lights fading off numerous times as it's a very nice addition to the game graphically. I did play at Toronto yesterday as well. Got spanked by the Cavs.

Oh, and a patch went live yesterday. Not sure what it did, but you'll have one available for you guys as soon as you put the game in.
