You shouldn't be FORCED to use triple-threat moves just to get by your man, though. A simple blow by is enough for the speedier players in the league.

I don't know. Especially on the half. U have to do something to beat your defender in real life. You can't just dribble hard in one direction and get by. You have to get the defender off balance. Give a heso or something.

You definitely CAN just dribble hard to get by the defense IRL. How the hell do you think LeBron gets to the basket? He's not quick off the dribble and doesn't have great crossover moves.

This is especially true since they made playing perimeter defense illegal around the time Jordan retired from Chicago.
