My guy always jumps in the direction of the shot.. at first he didn't cause I would just press y to jump. Even if its a half of a stwep towards the guy before jumping it will help you in blocking and contesting shots. Just try once u start doing it you won't try to block shots any other way. The blocking is fine.... the game is getting in position to block or contest not just jumping. I wish there was instant replay so I could show you guys what I mean. Trust me this works on layups as well especially when behind the ball handler i.e. when the ballhandler goes for the layup just keep running till you get as close as possible the ball will hang a lil bit so if u jump just before he releases the ball you will get the josh smith/lebron james block from behind. Like I said in a earlier post I have already pinned a shot of the backboard and actually came down with the ball and I have spike the ball of the backboard from behind.
I agree with you. Despite some awkward sequences, blocking shots has been well represented in Live 10. But people are having a hard time with it (along with rebounding the basketball). Me? I'm loving both.

Regarding the post up mechanic, eventhough I understand what you are saying when you wrote that it's the user that makes the decision while moving towards the defender, I think people want to have control over it at all times. And I guess keeping it both ways is a great way to solve this.

I've played this demo alot and I agree with all the pro's and cons of the game.... with that being said I would probably give the retail version of this game a score around....7.9 it will be good but not great....

maybe a serious patch real early would help the score....

Yep - it's pretty annoying. The block animations are just so random and unpredictable....they need to add way more AI to the block animations...and just add more contextual block animations for different situations...like when you are trying to block from behind the shooter, the jump and the animation should look different than a block that is attempted from a different position. Right now, it's always the same generic straight up swatting motion...

so, add more contextual blocking animations and add directional jumping to the blocking control.

That would keep both camps happy since some are already used to the AI making that decision and others want control of it every time. Is that possible Mike?
yes. Either way, the contextual postup will stay in tact. LS click or RB for postup?

That is an interesting point. How many reviews are going to be noting issues that are scheduled to be patched at release? How will that affect the scores the game gets? I hope the devs hand in a disclaimer alongside the review copies.

IMO, I think holding down RB is better than clicking in the left stick.

My vote goes to RB, though i'd have to be on the sticks to see if the LS click is more natural.
