this is the truth. I have played some great games, without a hint of cheese, some with no dunks. Some with 35% shooting, some with 60% shooting. Some with lots of steals and blocks, as well as those without. Just relatively variable games.


I can't really believe the reactions to this demo. It's all just so subjective I guess. It's been very busy at my house today, but not one person who's come in has not commented on how great the game looks. Gamers and non-gamers. Personally I find it incredible. It's very sexy!!! But I don't really find myself nitpicking each individual guy and his nose hairs being out of place. I just don't see how anyone here doesn't see the incredible amount of effort that has gone in to this game and have some respect for the product. I mean at the absolute worst, it's a very competitive piece of software. Now there's a legitimate competitiion.

I just have to say this because it has been on my mind for a couple of hours.

This game is REALLY bare bones. It is all about gameplay and simulation. There are only four dribble moves (right,left,up,down on R stick) and the right trigger - but the manner in which they are implemented are second to none. NBA Live will only get better in the years to come as they expand on this phenomenal system that they have established.

Can't wait for October 6th.

alot of people have mentioned they have problem with the Defense or hate the how the defense works.........I LOVE IT. The way it's set up this year forces you to think on defense and not just go all aggressive on your man and pounding on the steal button. My minor gripes are some of the dunk and rebound animations where they seemingly warp out of nowhere to make the play. Other than that, I'm diggin it so far.

Well after playing the demo for a while, I'm not really impressed. The graphics are took a hit. It looks nice in the gym, but in gameplay looks like cartoons. The rim and ball physics are terrible. The signature shoots are off on most players. Also the game still feel a bit stiff. Don't get me wrong it's an improvement over last years, but i'm not crazy about it. I'll pass on this game. I thought I was going to be blown away, but it didn't happen.
