I have to admit I am laughing pretty hard right now. So know people are agreeing that the AI has some kind of cheat after? Just like every game ever made. Any way I like the pinning in this game. I wish angles matter, but it is still cool pinning someone and then kicking the puck to a teammate. Very nice.

Its aparently a speed advantage but thats the extent of it. The AI still uses the same strategies that the player does. At any rate per Redshirt that speed advantage in 10 is less than 09 and is tweakable even further now that we have cpu sliders. Which is good enough for me. Also understand Scott the licensing fees alone on goal songs make sure neither dev will have the exact songs in either game. I do love that I have the option to add them myself though, even if it takes a tiny bit of effort on my part.

I get that, but still. I just feel like that is the one area this game is lacking, but again this is all opinion.

The only difference in any games is how the CPU gets boosts. Neither 2k10 or NHL10 are going to play fair (along with any other sports game out there).
Well according the VC, the infamous speed boost the Cpu got on the higher difficulty levels is now gone for 2K10. I guess we'll see. The NHL10 developers I believe have openly said the Cpu has a slight boost on the All Star and Superstar levels. As long as the sliders can fix this, I'm Ok with it I guess. My biggest concern with NHL10 right now is how much the sliders will fix the Cpu pass accuracy. I don't want the realism of innaccurate passes to be just with the user.

What do you guys who hate the presentation need to actually like it? If they had flashy spot light intros would that make that much of a big difference? Presentation of the on ice action between the two games is pretty much identical, except Thorne and Clement's commentary is a whole hell of a lot better and more professional sounding. Not to mention theres a TON of new dialog this year vs the same 5-6 year old 2k pbp script. Enlighten me because I just don't get the whole stale presentation arguement.
I just don't feel the excitement during the game like I felt for 2k9. It's just not there. The fans look cartoonish to me, even the tower waving looks a bit goofy. Like someone said when the redwings score, it just doesn't seem like a playoff goal was scored by the fan reaction. So far the most exciting thing I have heard when the wings score a goal is the announcer and not the crowd, and to me it should be the other way around. And the Arena's, I know this isn't a big thing to some people but it is to me, this game should have the actual arena's to give it some authenticity complete with all the intros and the goal horns etc.

2K did a fine job with that last year and has improved upon that in 2k10 as was shown in the Detroit Redwings game intro. 2k's arenas come to life, each and everyone of them and that's a huge part of hockey IMO. NHL 10's gameplay seems to play a fine game of hockey no doubt, but they could go a long way towards having a complete game if the developers would take the time to add more of the bells and whistles that you actually see in a hockey game. I'll gladly give them my 60 dollars if they ever get around to doing this.

Whatever, Eddie...just spend your 60 dollars on the gem of a game MLB 2k10 will surely be.

Yes, I meant to say MLB.

Just because he disagrees with you. You know what? That is OK. If you guys like the Presentation that is all that matters. To me gameplay is important, but so is presentation. I figure if I am going to spend $60 why can't I have both.

Who's to say it won't be a gem?
