Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

After playing the demo I have a few things to say....

the crowd went from crappy to absolutely worthless. It looks like a Madden 99 crowd. The engine is the same old thing (Sucks). I feel as if I have 0 control of what's happening, which is what EA always brags about is having the "freedom". I feel as I am not in control of deep passes, and running the ball. The lock "feature" is nothing but a different camera view and it limits you on switching the player to make the easy tackle as opposed to the CPU failing to make the tackle. Kicking game is too easy...The presentation still sucks...Physics are terrible. If this demo is 10x as better as this demo (Which it will be) This game is still awful.

Only things I noticed they improved on is pass blocking, and punt and kick returns. And a few cool camera angle cut scenes.

I realize that it's just a demo, but even something as small as a demo gives me an idea what kind of game it will be...And it's the same thing...Flash and flare. EA's marketing is fantastic cuz this game is going to be awful. Look I have bought every single NCAA game since 2001...Which means I have given EA over $400 worth of my money (My own fault)...So I am a little bitter. Because not only they take out cool things after years...They put it in and call it a NEW FEATURE!

I will not buy this game unless the people on here says other wise. I'm gonna stick with Madden.

I agree. And in addition to that bold part, lead passing is pretty crappy on NCAA (it was last year on Madden, too). It almost makes me wish they'd bring the damn passing cone back. Another irritating thing is the laziness of the receivers. A lot of interceptions are caused on this game because the WRs will stick to their routes and just expect the ball to come right to them rather than having to get in their and fight for it when the defensive player warps up towards it. There are no aerial battles. I can't remember seeing a wide receiver on NCAA Football pluck one that was overthrown out of mid air, or, wrestle away a 50/50 ball from a defender to come down with the catch, or even come back to the ball to at least break up potential interceptions.

Yeah... the crowd this year is just terrible. But, if gameplay is improved I can live with it.

I think some people just need stick skills with this game. Everyone is complaining about the pash rush, but I break through the line almost every down with Dunlap.

Also, on Offense the CPU rushes me almost every play. What do you guys expect? A sack every play?

My problem with the cpu line play is that on a pass play they get no penetration and on a run play a defender is in the backfield in no time flat to make the tackle.

The problem is you shouldn't have to manually control d-linemen to get pressure. CPU d-linemen are essentially worthless.

The NCAA series is better this year. The animations are way better. The changes this year are really getting overlooked by people this year.

The NCAA series or any football game can't improve too much more. I mean what else do you want other than to run, pass, and play defense?

The game is much better, have played it, have played it a lot. I think when the final product hits the stores and we open our tray of the 360 or ps3 0r ps2 whatever, you will find a college football game that will satisfy all of us, or should I say most of us for another year. I will be buying regardless, I loved 09, sure, it had its faults, but this is the only college football game in town. I really think when it is all over, most of us will say by the end of 2010, I hope NCAA 11 will be as good as 10. I am confident of this. I think, and remember this post, that EA has a little surprise for the NCAA fans. Wait and see, did not want to leak out in demo! save this post! SERIOUSLY!
