I think the button/R-Stick responsiveness while playing on AA is much better than Heisman. After playing about 15-17 games on Heisman and 5 or 6 on AA, I really feel that Heisman has more of a stiff feel to it. Maybe the difficulty won't let you pull off or chain together moves as quickly or whatever, but that's what I am seeing.

FYI - I am on PS3.

I absolutely love the demo though.
Is not stiff at all on Heisman....Heisman is a great level this year

All American once again is a joke and to easy to do anything on offense.. hb screens are money plays all day on all american

Heisman makes you play smart as oppose to all american which you can do as you please just like all ncaa games in the past

key to heisman is to keep your finger off the turbo...moves are smoother and better if you dont use turbo...turbo is the devil in ncaa and madden

Personally, I didnt like the demo at all. For me, it hasnt changed in years. Not the basic gameplay anyway. For a kid this may be fun, for a 31 yr old looking for a realistic feel, not very fun at all. Hopefully one day football games can be fun again.

Demo score 3.5/10

The gameplay feels the same, but for many of us, the meat is in the dynasty mode. Playing the game for a purpose is more important to me than things like running animations/windsocks/chain gangs. Yes the game looks the same and yes, I was super bored with the demo but I will reserve judgment until I can play dynasty.

I think the Demo is fine, but there's a lot of stuff we don't know, such as what a game looks like in the daytime! It basically feels like they morphed the atmosphere of Madden '09 into the gameplay of NCAA '09, and gave it a few more animations and tweaks. Fundamentally, the game doesn't play significantly different, though it is nice to see receivers LOOKING for the ball.

One thing I was interested to see was if the line play had changed, but I don't think it has.

Question: Do they still have that stupid "Finesse Move"/"Power Move" thing now for a D-lineman, or do you ONLY use the R stick to disengage or activate some other pre-canned move to elude a blocker?

Have played the demo once...purely a defensive game. 10-3 i lost to OKLA., the defensive pass rush was crazy i liked the player lock i think it just takes some getting used to but i realized i was up a creek once not being in the play.
Need more time to get a better impression...

BTW...played the Fight Night Demo at least 20 times...beating the hell out of Hatton.

Well i just played the demo and liked itthe run blocking isn't terrible but not great against the blitz i lost 13-10 to OU have to get used to the gameplan thing, the robo QB is still there bradford went 11-17 against me the only time he missed is when i got pressure. I just hope EA patches the sliders on release because i'm considering getting this game now

It's an 8-minute game. 10-3 is hardly "purely defensive."

I've played the demo probably about 10 times now. I'm ambivalent, and not really looking forward to the release date. I'm 32, which may have something to do with it, but I recall really looking forward to releases past.

The good:

The animations seem much improved. I like the new blocking moves, the tackles, and the over-the-head catches.

Graphically, the game looks pretty good. I'd like to see a day game to really judge things, though.

Pursuit angles seem to be addressed, and have a real impact on gameplay. This was one of the biggest problems last year, and it's nice to see that they addressed it. It seems way better now, and gameplay was much more fun because of it.

The bad:

I really hate to beat a dead horse, but doing so is somewhat appropriate, because the game, atmospherically, is about as exciting as a dead horse. Field goal nets?!?!? Windsocks?!?!? You have to be kidding me. I actually ran across a copy of NCAA04 the other day, and it actually offered more in terms of presentation. How can that be? A lesser priced game, on worse technology, now 6 years old? Ridiculous.

QB pressure is still awful. I know people are getting pressure manually, but it should be there to begin with. Both QBs had all day to throw. I'd like to think sliders will fix this, but it's hard to give the benefit of the doubt at this point. They had an entire year to fix them, didn't do so, and now we really expect it to be addressed in a patch? We'll see.

Special teams are still terrible, with the same few "plays" that we've had now for 20 years.

Hard to tell:

Robo QB. Both QBs are awesome, and without any pressure, it's conceivable that they would complete almost everything. We'll see what it's like when Florida plays Akron.

Gameplan. It's an 8-minute game. Who knows what this feature will be like over the course of a full game. I did see a high number of fumbles and not many facemasks/missed tackles when playing "aggresively," but the sample size is pretty small for that.

That's about it for now. I'm pretty bored with the demo, so that'll probably be it, but I'll update if I think of anything else. Still not sure that I will buy the game new. It's only $60, but I'm just not feeling it right now.

That's almost dead on what his completion percentage was in the NC game last year. He's arguably the best QB in college football; of course he's going to make most of his throws with no pressure applied.
