Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

I love the player lock defensive camera. Been waiting for that for years.

Playbooks seem more advanced for Florida and Oklahoma.

-------
Special Teams are terrible.

CPU pace is still off, no audibles, movement of patience at the line of scrimmage.

Presentation is still quite boring. Cheerleaders, TD celebrations and after play cut scenes are so spastic and not nearly with the polish I had hoped.

Teambuilder makes me interested in buying the game.

Thanks for warning me people. now i won't have to clear room on my hard drive. its ashame this game looks like it will tank. I love football games so hopefully madden can produce this year. if not, there's still Nhl 10 and Modern Warfare 2

I am getting it for sure. I love all the new tackle animations. Graphics do seem to look worst than I remember them looking in 09 but they are no where close to being unbearable. I like the feel of the DL controls.
I know it could be a whole lot better and that they still do not have the content that is on the old gen games. I know a lot of people want everything that is in madden but I am glad it is not the exact same as madden. I play both and that would get boring if they were identical.
I am sure I will play this a lot and have a lot of fun with it. I hope EA finds a way to get in at the very least all the good stuff that is still missing from the old gen versions.
I wish they would of spent their time getting the real FCS teams in the game properly instead of that stupid team builder crap but I also understand that a lot of people like stupid team builder crap and don't want to play a college football game with all the real college football teams so yeah whatever. No wonder the game is the way it is. We cant all win. In the end I think this will be good enough to be very enjoyable.

I have major gripes about this game's development (see my signature) but the more I play it the more fun I have. Yes, it has tons of annoying quirks and the roster issue makes me angry. But I'm having fun. I'm sure a big part of it is I love college football and I love video games.

I love Florida's playbook. Lock on defending is also sweet.

QFT. Just had a great win with UF, 17-10 FOT.

I am shocked by this post..after all the flaws you pointed out with the OL, and your little jabs at NCAA.

Edit: BTW, thanks for the blog comment... I like the UF playbook too. The shotgun formation is ridiculous.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

Yeah I really thought I was going to hate it and went in with a very negative attitude but I just looked at the clock and have been playing it for 5 hours straight almost. I am going to have such a long and tired day tomorrow, haha!

The game plays really well actually and the over the shoulder catches really add a lot to the passing game. Along with that the passing mechanics seem a lot better and the ball flight seems a little more realistic. The only problem I have is the buttons for throwing don't seem very sensitive and hopefully this is addressed in the retail version.

The CPU is running the play clock down I've noticed when it actually makes sense to. One problem I have noticed is the CPU spiking the ball when the game clock isn't running. What's up with that? I hope that's just in the Demo.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

Issues I have:

Bullet passes are NEVER accurate if you try to lead them in any way. They could at least give you some chance, if you throw a bullet pass you can't try and lead or it will be way off, on some of the high throws the receiver just lets the ball whiz by without making an effort.

The snap over head glitch as incomplete.

When CPU runs no huddle after a first down the play clock will tick down to 2 without the game clock moving at all...don't know why this happens but it's there.
