not important to me. its simply the same game. when you see players being tackled the same, running the same, and with some little fluff here and there is not change. its called cluster you know what.

Im not here to fight but to tell the truth. its the same game. and thats a fact.

3 times thus far in the first half(I'm Florida), I've been able to generate pressure on the QB and force him to step up in the pocket and run.

I'm liking how the cpu will run with the QB when the protection breaksdown.

Florida's playbook is just wonderful. I really like all the wrinkles, formations and formation options they included. Of course it's still missing two plays I really want in this game (Option Reverse and the Shovel Pass-Speed Option), but I am digging all of the additions they put into the UF playbook.

NCAA10 cannot get here fast enough!
How about jump pass?

On the topic of playbooks though, I want to know who tests the plays that they put into the game because IMO half the plays are flawed and unusable. It is pretty much useless to try and run up the middle out of the shotgun.

They also tried to add the counter shotgun run that Percy Harvin had a lot of his big runs out of. However, in the game it has the receiver take the handoff at full speed going the wrong way so by the time you turn around to counter the defense is in the backfield. In reality when Percy would take the hand off he would have slowed down to a near hault right before the QB so when he takes the hand off he doesn't have to stop and change directions, instead he can just make a jab step and counter towards the pulling guard and follow him through the hole.

It is frustrating for me that they get the OL/DL interaction so wrong when APF had it much better a couple of years ago. In NCAA '10 demo OL do nothing in terms of opening up holes and moving DL out of the way. Instead half the time a LB of DL can get through without even being touched.

I cannot buy this game if the core of it still has so many flaws. I want to be able to have a dominating run game from the Shotgun without having to run only sweeps and options.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

Couple of things I noticed:

I was OU and beating Fla. 7-6 late in the 4th. Tebow threw incomplete on 4th down, turning the ball over on downs and I ran out the clock. The Fla. sideline was celebrating after the incompletion.

Anyone else notice the game clock doesn't start after first downs? I know in college the gc doesn't start until the chains are set but seriously, the clock doesn't move at all. Weird thing, too, is that the CPU will let the playclock run all the way down to 2-3 seconds and then SPIKE THE BALL even though the game clock IS NOT RUNNING!!!

Those were the most glaring things to me that stood out.

Overall, though, I was more impressed with this demo than last year's demo. Graphics look good and I saw some nice things, gameplay-wise.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

There is presentation improvement.
There is animation improvement.
There is gameplay improvement.
The "Gimmick" (Lock-on player on D) is wonderful.
A.I. seems much smarter.

Honestly, IMO, This is easily the best NCAA game on Next-gen. Is It Perfect? No, but its a big time improvement from anything we have seen on Next Gen consoles and all the negativity has gotten me confused. Rosters and broken sliders are one thing, but Ea is working on that and, with those fixed, this could be the best NCAA game I've played in awhile. This is all MY OPINION. If You don't agree with it, don't bash me. I'm not so stubborn that I refuse to like a game I decided I wouldn't like 3 months ago.

I was going to hold off on NCAA Football this year and maybe just rent it until I played the demo. I'm pre-purchasing it tomorrow.

Huge disappointment for me! Graphics look cartoony, the framerate is choppy (especially on the post play cutscenes), the players on the sidelines still look like they belong on the Nintendo 64, no coaches on the sidelines, no refs or chaingangs, etc... The only things I liked were the player lock feature & being able to use the right stick for defensive line moves. I'll pass on NCAA 10 & wait for Madden. It's disappointing because I love college football. I couldn't care less about Team Builder & Create a School. I'm sorry but creating fake teams & schools is not that exciting to me. OH but wait we have bands! Lol At least I'll have FN4 to hold me over until Madden 10.
