I had about 100+ yards rushing with OU, mostly up the middle runs. really got to follow your blockers and not mash on the speed burst. I had a 30 yard TD run as my longest run so far. I-form stretch play where I cut it up in between the Guard and Tackle and behind my FB, then broke 1 tackle and was off. looked really nice, only wish we could look at replays and/or save replays in the demo.

strangely, I felt that passing was harder to do than it was in '09. the CPU was getting a good rush on me and the pass coverage is better than '09, but have yet to see any of those super LB/DB type plays that past NCAA games had(even last-gen)

I love the game plan feature as well. I really like the way the receivers run their routes, the incompletions, and the overall feel of the game.

The presentation is lacking but I don't think it's a make or break situation. Overall, this is a solid demo IMO. Once again I apologize to EA.
I like what I'm reading so far. I hope I feel the same way after playing the demo tonight.

Running the ball was a disaster in '08 (Heisman, no other level was even playable), and despite the running game being improved in '09, the broken pass rush and guaranteed-open receivers made it way too easy to pass (so why ever run, unless to mix it up a tad?).

If it's still the general case for user vs. AI that passing is wayyy easier than running, then the gameplay is (still) fundamentally broken.

I understand it's OU and UF, who both have good defenses. However, if a stellar offense can't run it at all against a good defense...

I hope I'm just reading too much into the initial impressions.

rocket catch is still in the game.which is pathetic. everything else is good but i guess the devs didnt learn anything at all from the rcing in madden 09.

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions

I love the demo, it is like NCAA 9.5 and not a 10 though!

But the minor additions are pretty nice! Gameplay is much smoother and nice new animations, especially the running.

Like someone else said," I have yet to win a game, but it's fun"!

2min quarters is too short, but 1 half and I was getting beat by 14.

Overall it's a definite buy!

its deja vu....with a demo band in the beginning.

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions

I haven't been able to run the ball at all and neither has the CPU. These sliders better not be broken.

Otherwise I've had a good time with the demo.
