Joining the party a little late, always been a fan of the series so I'll continue the tradition and pick this up first thing Monday.

Thanks for all the impressions!

I wish I could figure out how to putt. Then maybe I wouldn't be shooting a 90+ every round

My putting isn't that bad, but I'm yet to break par in about 10 rounds with my golfer who has abilities in the high 70 ranges. Had a couple of low to mid 70s scores but haven't made the first four or five cuts on Tour yet.

I really like the greens in this game though, you can tell a difference from one course to the next.

Put in some good hours tonight and I'm hooked now. I need to work on my putting, as that was what kept me from being competitive in my first career tourny, but its a lot better than I thought it was gonna be considering how rusty I was.

EDIT: GAH!! I cannot put in the rain, lol

Stay with it! Go into "Practice Round" in your Career mode and hit putt after putt. There's a loooooong learning curve for putting, especially meterless precision putting like I've been exclusively using since day 2. I haven't had a round yet where I didn't at least have one 4-putt green. I quite often have a 5-putt green. These all come as a result of hitting the putts too hard, which is easy to do without the meter.

However, when you sink a 50 footer on very fast greens with meterless putting in Tour Pro mode, there's nothing in the history of Tiger Woods console gaming comparable to it!

Onlooker, do you feel like this version of TW, along with the right clubs and tuning, can replace Links 2004? I have a 360 and the only game I EVER play on it anymore is Links. I love the game tremendously but have been wanting to trade in my 360 for credit but will only do so if I feel like I can get a good replacement of Links. From some of yours and other's impressions, it seems I may be able to but wanted to get some feedback just in case.

This goes really to anyone that is a big fan of Links 2004.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 Impressions (PS3, 360)

Well I shot a +14 at today's online tournament, my best round yet lol. It actually wasn't that bad, if I could take four holes out of my round, I would have been at +1. I just need to cut out the bad holes.

I'm finding it easier to swing with both thumbs to keep the ball straight. I feel stupid doing it, but it seems to be the only way I can keep the ball from going out of bounds four times a round.

It's a really addicting game, it's just frustrating because for some reason it's taking me forever to figure it out

You can flip the shot stick if that's an issue. I flipped it and use the R-stick to swing. I find it much more natural.
