It will happen brother, and when it does, it's oh so sweet!

I've had a few KOs where I knocked my opponent down once in one round, and again in the next and then I had one where my opponent fell twice in the same round.

I also had one flash KO and a flash Knock Down.

But of the 100+ rounds I've played on this demo, I've had around 10 total knockdowns.

What's a flash KO and how do we do them?

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Demo Impressions

Wow, i see what people are complaining about. The game looks incredible, but i'm not sold on the gameplay yet. There are some things about the new TPC that just doesn't make sense to me.

1st, it doesn't make sense to me why they have body hooks mapped left and right on the R stick allowing you to throw them from a straight up position. I could understand this on the inside but from the outside it just doesn't make sense, since you got to use the L trigger to throw any other body shot.

2nd, having the haymaker on the R bumper just doesn't feel right. It's very awkward trying to move or rotate the right stick while holding the R bumper. It would be much more natural on the L bumper.

This may just be me but that camera at times almost makes me sick. It's one of them beer buzz effects right before you pass out and things start spinning.

Jabs and straights don't feel like they have any weight. I was using one of my controllers where the vibration is broken, so maybe when i use my other controller that vibrates it will feel different.

I'm not giving up yet but my first impressions of the gameplay are not that great right now.

Yup. I caught Hatton with a hook without knocking him down in the previous round or him even being in stun mode. His health was relatively high when I dropped him. He made an attempt to get up but fell. And yes this was against the CPU.

RE: Pac Man's Cross

I was watching the video of what's new on the demo(watch like 20 times lol) Ive noticed that when you create a boxer, you can choose a fighters best punch, dnt know if this was in FNR3 or not...Maybe Pac has a cross as his best punch...

Also to anybody who has doubts about this game and have the demo, watch it in CPU vs CPU...This game is gonna be special, better difficulty level and sliders are the icing on the cake...

Not a big fan on the TPC but it just feels good and it will take practice to master...Using both sticks puts u in the fight IMO instead of relying on button combos....

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Demo Impressions

The Demo plays a little funny to me. Currently, I like FNR3 better. But I'm pretty confident that the final product will deliver much better than the demo. From my experience, however, it seems like Demos, in general tend to be a pretty big close resemblance of the final product.

It just really bothers me to be able to throw that many punches, with no physical exhaustion, and very minimal speed decrease (if any).

My fingers are crossed, for a great game. I love the series overall.

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Demo Impressions

It looks incredible and i'm trying to like it but it just doesn't play or feel like a boxing sim. I heard they done some major tweaking after the demo, so i haven't given up hope.

If they can tweak it so jabs and straights have some pop that would make a huge difference. Right now the only punches that have any feedback(controller vibration) are hooks and upper cuts.

When i'm playing it just feels like there is no method to the maddness. I don't feel like i'm really boxing at all. Playing against another person will make it better, but with the new TPC there is just too many times of not getting the right punch or getting a punch i didn't intend to throw. Same thing with the bob and weave.

I'm sure i'll get better with the controls but even at my best i don't see myself being able to completely rid myself of these problems.
