Last 2 year's league Completion % was 61%. The number has continued to rise as teams throw the ball downfield much less these days.

Donny, very great to hear that the game is coming along together...it is a little bit frightening to hear that Josh is getting Franchise in its "final form" when we have heard next to nothing about it other than "it is enhanced"...any idea when we'll be hearing more from the franchise folks?

Again...thanks for sharing...it makes the wait even more unbearable.
Sucks cause by the time we here anythign about franchise.. it will already be done with.. but i trust they'll get it right thsi time for some reason

Thats cool, maybe this is a one time occurance or something. Overall it just has been a trend in Madden over the years in which you have fallen into with the first games you have told us about.

Was just looking at the stats of Steve Young who I think we can all agree is a little better than Hasselback. He ran the West Coast a long time. His carreer best season was 94 where he threw for a 70% completion ratio. That is the type of year that gets you into the Hall of Fame. That was also the year they won the SuperBowl. His carrer average was at 64% which is a great career. Just keeping that into perspective I am sure Young had a game or two where he threw over 70%, how many I don't know. He also had a pretty good cast around him that blows the Seattle roster out of the water so I can see how he was able to do that.

Point is, for me I would like to see QBs in general scaled down a bit to acheive the sim experience that would replicate what we see in the NFL.

Well said. I think that's where the run blocking is going to be so important. Behind a good line, you should be able to still find some holes and pick up a few yards per carry. What's going to distinguish a better back though is his ability to make a move in the open field to break a play loose, or his ability to shed a few tacklers and rumble forward for some extra yardage.

What coverage were you playing to allow Steve Smith to score on the last play of the game?

This was my main concern...Smith scoring on what should have been a Prevent D on last play of game. Wouldn't happen from that far out.

Very exciting game Donny. I'm a huge Panthers fan. I have to know, how hard was it to lock down Deangelo Williams? Out of all the things you mentioned, that was the only thing that made me cringe a little bit.

Is it possible for you to throw up his stats?
