Its still a good game of baseball. You shouldn't have any crashes or historical stat glitches if you start up a regular franchise. You may not get replays.

If you do RTTS, you may want to read some of this first, I don't play it so I can't speak to it.

You'll still get alot of enjoyment out of it. But if some of the mentioned problems in this thread will gnaw at you, you may want to get a different game.

Thanks fist, I'm going for it. It's only money. Not life or death.

Honestly I say open it and enjoy. You can see what I wrote in response to Countyboy's question. The roster control guys are a bit ticked, rightfully so, but I'm not that type of player. I just care about my own team. If that's how you play then open it up Dl all the new stuff, rosters, patch, etc.. and you should enjoy it. The game is incredible. I feel very fortunate that I waited because it really is a new game to me as I only played RTTS JUST for the trophies LOL. I never played that mode until this year as I'm a minor trophy ho and wanted them.

So I think for those who have not started or are just now buying it they won't see the issues. It just bytes for those who are so far into their seasons that have to start all over agian.

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here

Hey guys,

I saw the list of fixes and changes to the game that come with the patch on the first page. I was wondering if there had been any gameplay tweaks or changes due to the patch? (i.e. hitting easier or more difficult, CPU pitchers throw more balls on default settings).

I know no such changes are mentioned, but I just wanted to make sure because I loved the gameplay pre-patch.

Thanks in advance!

I played 3 games last night on my franchise file....I was in the postseason....In 2010...no problems...

I then saved simmed to offseason, did some signings etc...NOTHING!!

I was using Ridins latest roster using the Yankees.

No worries. I'm not upset. I just thought it was an odd word to choose.

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here

Hey guys,

I have a quick question about the patch.

A couple days ago I read a post about a glitch during RTTS where you weren't supposed to do hitting practice during the month of September? Does anyone know about this? Is this still an issue? I tried finding the original thread but couldn't. I skipped the one or two batting practices I got in September just to be sure.

The other day though, my guy got injured and went on the 60 day DL. When I came back, the AAA schedule was over and I was pulled up to the majors. The first game I was supposed to play had no image for the pitcher. I played it and it got stuck on the loading screen. I reloaded my save and tried again, same thing. To get around this, I had to sim that game and then play the game after that had the pitchers faces and it worked fine. Just thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone else saw this before.

Hey guys I got the patch yesterday as well ,and Im playing with an old franchise I have. I have played two games after the patch and have had no problems.

I Actully got to take two videos at the end which for the last few games I had to exit out with none because it messed up. I am using the second roster set I think or the first that came out on the update. But so far for me no problems.

I havent tried any of my RTTS yet so I dont know if they will crash or not.
