Take this as a lesson roster folks, that you never create rosters until the opening day update releases.

Better safe than sorry

A. Auto Baserunning for the CPU seems like the only option, I dont make baserunning decisions for the CPU ever.

B. If its talking about Auto for us then that is controlled by the CPU to a degree since Im not controlling it so thats where the mention of CPU somewhat dirties the water a little.

In the end if it works then it works but since you posed the question I wanted to take a moment to answer why I came to the conclusion I came to atleast.
Sure, but I wasn't even thinking about you Chef. It could have been explained better, but its all good.

Honestly, I think its because of the "auto-fix" of the rosters that was incorporated into the game this year. It must have gotten to be too in depth and complicated to fix easily.

All these sad faces. I tried to lobby for everyone to take what I have done and just finish it. It s like 90% doen and it coincides with the patch nice. Guess loyaty/ego always wins out versus common sense here. On any count though, for any roster makers out there my roster is a phenominal set to use for franchise. If you wan the fully fledged out minors (which I have already did everyhting for the top 20 prospects minors on each team) then just take it, finish it, then repost it. Simple! Thats wookie tellin you

I haven't been able to find a definitive answer, but do we need to re start our franchise in order for the patch to be in full effect? Thanks in advance.

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here

I gotta tell you guys, today has been a very dissapointing day. Im roughly 40 games into my franchise and Im at the point now where it sounds like Im basically going to be picking between a franchise and avoiding the new patch, which I REALLY want to be able to utilize the uneven trades (ie. 2 for 1, 3 for 1 etc) that are now possible, or having to start over so I can use the uneven trades feature that was patched in. Im the type of gamer that just cant stand repetition so having to play 40 games over doesnt sound like fun at all and Im not the type to simulate so thats not an option either, so where does that leave me in the end? Im stuck with a tough call. In a very selfish way I really wish they wouldnt have touched anything to do with the rosters.

I would....seems like some problems with franchise saves and the patch right now.
