Re: Latest Madden NFL 10 blog - WR/DB Interaction

Just watched the videos, great work team.

My only question is what were the ratings off the guy on the route running video? His cut was nice, but it was a bit slow.

I am know fully convinced on this team, as well as both '10 football products. I'm just glad this carryovers to NCAA. Now if you can get OMT to start posting big stuff like this...

Ian, you and your guys are really stepping your game up. I can't give you guys too much credit since 2k already had most of the things you've shown so far. But for Madden standards, SUPERB!

Impressive, but that looks nothing like DRC in the matchup picture. Looks like Antonio Smith.

That's because the Automatic matchup defender was assigned. Cromartie was yet to be picked with the A buton.

Bit of a worry that the automatic matchup let Hines Ward be covered by a DE though?! But as Ian said, we need to objectively look past that in this early screenie

Mr DRC for the record

If they show a fleshed out OL/DL interaction blog with much improved physics I'm sold...

Re: Latest Madden NFL 10 blog - WR/DB Interaction

What determines how quickly the guy makes his break in those out patterns? Is it going to be acceleration or route running?

I hate seeing guys like Amani Toomer who run some of the best routes in the NFL not being able to get open because they don't have the acc or agility, but guys 7th RD Draft picks with high acc were pro bowlers because they could cut.

The blog didn't really clarify that for me, so I was hoping someone here could... Basically, is speed still going to be king in determining these breaks or do the breaks not take that into account?
