I must say when I first got the game, I was very frustrated with 365 and all. Online is horrible with the same cheese style every game. But after being patient and playing more and more,I like this game. The patch has improved some many things, and this is one of very few games where you can actually play the CPU and have a fun competitive game. The gameplay is smooth, the post play is great, and I have always loved the right stick dribble control. There is a lot to improve on,but I think EA has gotten Live back to the way it was on the xbox days.

My only gripes would be the cheesy online play,a little bit better playbooks, better free throw animations and more sig shots.

Kudos to stephensonmc and the dev team on a great game.

You arent giving any impressions whining about making the game right to the wrong dev team in the first place.

Go to the Wishlist thread and voice your opinion about 2010, pm t hese guys but please stop it in here.

People are here to discuss impressions and that's it.
You do realize I wasn't whining and steph was cool about it? Also what do you consider an impression Dre, because an impression could be pretty much anything. You do realize this right? I know you are trying to not get these threads off topic but i got my answer so we were done anyways.

Glad to know that I was not seeing things. The game is waaaay better since the release of the patch. The only issue that I am truly having is the Roster Rotations. As you stated their is not much that can be done this year but if that get's fixed/Ironed out man what a game. After impatiently waiting on the DNA to truly kick in I can say I am impressed. The replay games are awesome. The updated accessories now that is a cool feature that I constantly find myself amazed. Steph just keep pushing this Live 2010 team to bring out another good game because this year actually turned out pretty good as you stated it would if we would be patient. Thanks Steph. Happy Holidays!!!!

I dont care Walker. Whine in a pm or whatever, but steph doesnt run OS. OS has rules and this is the 2nd or 3rd thread having to be made because of the thread being derailed because of posts like yours taking it too far off topic.

You've done enough of this and that was the final warning as stated on page one. Next time you have no more warnings

Re: NBA Live 09 Patch Released, Impressions Here

After playing a lot recently...my final impressions about the patch are:

-Rebounding has been improved a lot. No more "CPU grabs ORB, slams it home regardless of position / player"...now, they'll kick it back out sometimes and the offense will re-set. Big +

- Post offense has been improved considerably. Before, I could score at will using Josh Boone on Tim Duncan. Now, scrubs feel like scrubs. If a guy isn't a good post player, it shows now as they miss a lot. Big +

- Overall flow...much better. Big +

There's still a lot missing. The "automatic double team in the post" has been there for years now (So, I am guessing it's coded)...it's still frustrating when you see Ben Wallace get doubled and they leave LeBron. Fast breaks by wingmen rarely occur...still a lot of problems...

Overall though, there are a lot of positives.

I criticised them for not addressing gameplay issues...but they've certainly addressed some. I am big enough to say "good work" for those issues.

The other elements...well, it seems it will only be 2010 before we see those fixed. I was pretty frustrated about that as I am one of the few people on the planet who has bought "Live 06...Live 07...Live 08...Live 09" for next gen consoles.

Kind of tired of hearig "wait until next year"...and I do feel like i've bought 4 BETA copies at times...

But there has been genuine progress made. It's genuinely a massive improvement, so congrats to Steph, Iminurbase, Beluba and co.

I am enjoying the game a lot and it's excellent value this season IMO with all the updates / DNA / Academy / play calling.

I believe the right people are involved to make 2010 something really special...

Overall rating for the game post patch from me = 83.

(I rated it at 73 before)

Re: NBA Live 09 Patch Released, Impressions Here

1 question:
Been playing Live for a few weeks and really like it. Today however the game will not load at all. If I don't load a profile up the game loads and I can play a Play Now game etc.. However as soon as I load a profile (and I've tried different profiles) the game locks up and I have to reboot the system. So I ran to EBGmaes and exchanged it for a different copy and the same thing: No profile loaded and eveything is fine - Load a profile and it locks up.
What could have happened in 1 days time to cause this?

Also what exactly does a profile load into the game so I can start trouble shooting. I can not believe I could play the game fine less that 24 hours ago and now it locks up.

Update: Profiles work until you set it one up as a lead profile then Lock city. This is with any profile. So whatever is loaded up when a profile is set as lead is causing the lockup.
I've deleted the game and cleared the cache and redownloaded the update etc...

Update 2: I have no f'n clue whats going on. Now profiles will work but my main profile does not. As soon as I set Skyboxer OS as the lead profile the game locks up.

Update 3: Right now it turns out to be the rosters that were tied to my profile was the problem. Not freezing right now.
