The game feels way too similar to NBA 2K8. I was afraid this was going to happen. I play each 2K title to absolute death every single year, so that could have something to do with it.

If someone put 2K8 in front of me and said this was actually 2K9, I'd believe them.

Can't wait! Even though it's a demo, and it's very compressed (only about 400 plus megs) it's already better than 2k8 (and obviously Live 09).

As for you guys going on and on about which system 2k (or any other game) looks better in, to each his own. It's getting old. The 360 has Xbox Live, which is hands down a lot better than PS3's free service. Some features are better on the PS3 some on the 360. The graphic differences are so minuscule, they shouldn't even matter. If you have both systems and feel that a certain game looks better on one of those certain system, then buy it for that system! We're suppose be talking about a great basketball game here!

I personally have a PS3, works for me and it's good enough for me. I wanted blu-ray and I wanted Metal Gear, plain and simple. Couldn't afford both. I've had a 360 in the past (traded it in) and played 2k8 a lot on both, and there isn't a huge difference. The graphics weren't better on the 360 or PS3, they were just different.

I know 2k9 is gonna be a great game on both. PERIOD!

you'd be a fool to think so. The amount of animations, changes in lock down D, AI that you see in the demo alone is astounding.

On another note, pressing the two triggers together and A goes a give and go.

That's what it was -- I saw an 'A' icon pop up over Gasol's head and hit him for a nice dunk, but I didn't know how I did it.

Mine is already on there... calibrated nicely where Uncharted, MGS4, and Ratchet and Clank look like graphical MASTERPIECES! I just don't know wtf is up with 2k9 on the PS3

No way this game looks like 2k8. You're crazy if you think that. I don't know about the 360 version, but I know the PS3 version is very very compressed, but you can still see that it's way better than 2k8. The animations, controls, the crowd, the atmosphere, the spacing, etc.

And yes, there are jaggies on the PS3 version, because it's compressed and it's a demo. Idiots!
