This game is completely playable for me now post-patch. I played a game with the final score of 17-13 with 8 minute quarters, something that would have NEVER happened pre-patch.

It's a shame a lot of things didn't get addressed but I'm content for now. I'm sure that was the intent of the patch as well: To pacify the fan-base this year and just move on towards next year.

Either way, the last month and a half was a very frustrating ordeal indeed. The NCAA development team needs to take a look at how EA Canada now works (FIFA, NBA) and follow suit.

Re: Patch #2 Now Live on PS3

Downloaded the patch last night and I'm pretty pleased with the results. I used Arkansas and played LSU and got waxed 45-17, which was great. I also gave up 2 touchdown passes of 60+ yards, which was unheard of before the patch. In the 2nd game I used Vanderbilt and beat Virginia 20-13. It definitely feels like a whole new game with the 2nd patch. Finally, I might be able to enjoy some next generation football.

Human rush defense is still too good on AA no matter what you do imo. Even with break block at 0 and cpu run block at 100, the cpu still doesn't run well. The good news is that Heisman is very playable and enjoyable with working sliders. I'm not that good a player but I won't play on AA anymore for this one reason alone. But it doesn't bother me at all since Heisman plays better imo, even for guys who aren't that great.

I'm not sure if this issue happens all the time, I do know that if you're only playing as top end schools with decent RBs, there likely isn't as much of a problem, then again, we don't all play as the Dawgs.

This was already confirmed earlier in this thread by other PS3 owners. Again, the 360 may have the best version of the game. The PS3 one, for some reason got glitchy animations once the patch came in. And as was stated, more so in the open field or on break outs...

A freeze is a freeze. You yourself have had it happen. I don't have to mention the point about the two systems again, but it's still applies. This has been mentioned by others in this thread, along with a thread all of it's own.

I never made this statement. And your comment about this is a first as it was the MAJOR point for a lot of others in this forum... Further more, when using a quote function, leave the retorts to things which were actuely said by the person you're quoting...

This in and of itself says volumes about where you're comming from. As for the rest of us playing on AA or higher, it gets old, and the fact that YOU are dictating how good the CPU can pass and the fact that you state this sends a clear message as to just how into the game you are... Many of these problems may appear to be petty to a casual player, but to others playing this game on a regular basis, they're a big deal...

Do you know anything about football? Seriously? Clock managment is the single biggest part of football strategy there is. It makes the difference between having to run plays or taking knees. This has a huge impact in serious games in the fourth quarter, as with issues such as rushing with lesser backs, or passing against people using jetpack exploits, eventualy you're going to have to do something, and the odds against you given various issues, ruins the game for people wishing to have a serious game. The term "two minute drill", trying to get out of bounds when down in points, trying to stay in when up, all have to do with clock managment. If we pay a penalty for something like this, it really hurts the overall experience.
