Re: Two Weeks of Madden 09, and Official Patch News!

I can honestly say as a Mod, I do not look for anyone to kiss EA's backside or any other other developer's backside. I only ask is that they are treated with respect. The same exact respect that we ask for the developer's of The Show in that forum.

By the way, it's the same exact respect that I also ask you to show your fellow posters, and that you get in return. I simply ask that if you have a problem, you handle it with dignity and maturity........and that seems to be a big problem a lot of the time.

The majority of the people who complain about this board being "EA friendly" are the same one's that post " Man, I got !@#$% out of my money, man EA is a piece of a !@#$%#.

Seriously, what does that bring to the conversation, if you have a problem that hasn't been mentioned before, mention it. If you have a gripe, let it be known. All we ask is that you keep it in the proper forums and that there are not a 1000 of the same post's with their own threads.

One final comment..............this board isn't EA friendly, 2k friendly, or Sony friendly. It's simply a site that ask you to be respectful and mature with your post and the way you treat people. If you have a problem with that, or can't conduct yourself in that matter......then please, don't be here.

You hit the nail on the head. It's the same over in the MLB 2K forum.

I understand Madden has problems, I do. But I try to keep it in context. Tiburon has nine months every year to turn around and develop one of the biggest titles in all of gaming. Not only are there gameplay, graphic, and presentation tweaks to make year in, year out... but corporate EA is always looking for "new" features to market.

The development cycle is short, internal demands many and expectations huge. Most of us don't understand that type of pressure; I think it is entirely reasonable to expect the developers who do visit with us here to be treated with respect.

All of you what you say is most likely true, and I agree 100%, but as consumers that's just not our problem to deal with. As paying customers we are owed a playable game to play, and one that isn't bug ridden like this years Madden.

and for Ian to make a comment like "The longer we try to fix Madden 09, the less we can put into Madden 2010" is totally out of line to tell your paying customers, and will only anger those people even more who's game and consoles are freezing up.

This is where you and I have fundamental differences, and that's okay.

I haven't experienced a single freeze in more than 30 games, including 6 in franchise. And between the lines, the game plays incredibly well. Madden is extremely playable (in my opinion). People are just upset because it doesn't play the way they want it to.

no.. people are upset with this year's Madden because they can't get through a single game, and their console is freezing up, and in some cases is even bricked.

so, you are saying you are ok with this?

What did everyone do in the days when games couldn't be patched and what you bought was what you played?

since they couldn't patch video games before online access, they were thoroughly tested before release, unlike the games today.
