Oh alright. I don't think we can do that really, but people could always PM me some names so I'm aware at least.

We got to do right by you guys, otherwise there's no point in doing this thing. Plus I wasn't aware of all the anger, so it was for my own edumacation. I'm not a hard person to get a hold of either way, whether it be AIM, OS, PSN, XBL, or even via Friend Codes.

Re: Summer Storms: The NCAA Release Story

So I'll bring something else in here. Looking through the past NCAA articles, I just noticed that Carlos wrote this one while I was away at E3: http://www.operationsports.com/feature.php?id=593

Are you guys cool with the general style/content of this article (grammar issues aside).

That article is fine, as far as I'm concerned. It dealt honestly with some of the flaws and bugs in the game that may bother some people more than others.

When a game is released with serious bugs and gameplay flaws I just don't think OS should be running puff pieces, glib outhouse psychoanalysis of negative posters, or engaging in rampant overmoderation of negative posts (I'm looking your direction countryboy).

It's not about being positive or negative. As an editor you should realize that it's the truth that matters. That's pretty much Journalism 101.

As such, that article is horrible (edit: The NCAA Summer Storms one, just to be clear). It dramatizes rather than reports... And it clearly spins at the end in the second to last paragraph.

Garbage.

Very likely just an EA funded puff piece.

MAJOR props to former Operation Sports Managing Editor: Shawn Drotar. This is how it used to be around here.

Refreshing...makes me misty about the "good ole days". Shawn is someone pretty much all of us respect.

Yep, he's right on the money. NCAA 09 is an unfinished product that was rushed out the door for business reasons. OS should be holding EA's feet to the fire for this, not writing puff pieces.
