We have NO other choice of an NFL game thats built for the Next gen console. So yes, people are going to be upset when its the same game as last year, but with new rosters. I cant believe he said the choice was a 4 year old game.

so knowing there is no other choice AND knowing EA's track record, the constant crying is pointless

move on

Yeah let's just eat the spoonfed crap they give us each year.

You're exactly the reason WHY we have this bullpucky every single year.

"Yes Madden, you are the greatest game ever. Oh look how great the line play is. Oh look, he's backpedaling sideways. This looks just like real life! I'll buy two copies because it's so great"

if your not gettting the game, then kindly move on. Thanks. Your constant trolling is getting old.

You've already stated that you are going to "rail" the game and anyone who buys it. That type of nonsense is not needed in the forums.

Thanks

What I am saying is that people compare Madden to NFL 2k5 and have a reason/point to do so. Now if those people feel that 2k5 is still the superior game, then why not play it? You are considering a game to be a legend of its time, well isn't the ol'saying that "legends never die".

I mean, if you have a choice between playing something that meets your expectations vs something that doesn't, which one are you going to choose? I would hope that its the one that meets your expectations.

Like I've said before, I have gone thru this type of process myself, when the All-Star Baseball series was discontinued due to Acclaim filing bankruptcy. Yes, I was upset. And yes, I tried to find a replacement. But it wasn't until MLB The Show '07 for the PS3 that I found that game that allowed me to move on. I still play ASB because I love its in-depth franchise and expansion team modes.

Just because NFL2K5 is 4 years old, doesn't mean that it can't still be enjoyed. And yes, I understand that you shouldn't have to play 2k to get your football fix given its a last gen game and we are in the next gen era, but if thats what you're faced with, well then, thats what you're faced with.

Buying/playing Madden and being disappointed just because its the only available football game for the next gen systems, in my opinion, is silly.

And there is nothing wrong with playing Tecmo Super Bowl. I played it the other night because a buddy of mine was over and he was playing the original Ninja Gaiden for the NES, and we got to talking about TSB and the next thing I know, its late in the night and I am enjoying this oldie, but a goodie.

Actually theres a good point. Maybe if enough people moan and groan they may actually make a good game. Maybe it wont happen, but that doesnt mean we have to give up. If you dont like that, then you have to move on!

Because this is 2008. Its not 2004 again. NFL2k5 is the benchmark of the last great NFL game. Until a game surpasses that, its going to have to measure up to it.

I choose nothing right now. GTAIV is taking plenty of time at the moment. I went 3 years without a football game. Shockingly i was able to handle it! This still doesnt mean i am content with only 1 NFL game.

No one that has been looking for a good NFL sim has found one. There is NO other choice. At least with baseball there is another one, its just not multi platform. Btw i have both a ps3 and a xbox and i am still crapped out of luck.

I never said i couldn't enjoy it, but again its 2008, we want a next gen game. I think its about time don't you?

Thats not why they are disappointed, its because in most sim gamers opinions its not a sim game and not even close. Fifa 08 is a good game i play and i own it. So this theory is blown for you. Since its fifa is exclusive to EA as well.

NO, there is nothing wrong with playing tecmo, but again, this is 2008. People want next gen. I still play plenty of old games. Sports games are a whole different thing because sports game are released yearly. At least the major sports and people want to play with their favorite team see'ing their current players in "high definition.

I also want to make it clear, that there is NOTHING wrong with liking Madden in its current form. If you like it, then great, i am glad you can enjoy it, but for alot of us, we dont, thats why we are upset. I dont know how anyone can blame us.

Thats why I said that people have a reason and a point to compare the two games.

Never said that you should be content with just one NFL game. What I was saying is that you shouldn't buy Madden just because its the only next gen game if you aren't happy with it.

I found my next gen football game. Hopefully at some point those who haven't found it, will find theirs. There's really nothing else I can say about that. People have different wants/needs.

You are missing my point(thats happening a lot today), I am saying that people shouldn't buy Madden just because its the only next gen football game available. And yes, it sucks that there is no competition. Competition is always a good thing for both consumers and sellers. But at this point in time, this is the hand we are dealt. I mean its either buy it or don't. I don't know what else to say.

I couldn't agree more. But with the situation the way it is, for those who want to play a football game during football season must decide whether or not, Madden fits the bill. If it does, great. If it doesn't well then, you have to move on to plan B, whatever that may be.

Nobody is blaming you for being upset.
