NOt even in the same ballpark . Again, this is my opinion, but people are finally starting to realize that EA is pulling a fast one on them. It takes other longer to realize it, and others that just say, well hell, this is all i got.

If people didnt moan and groan about something, then companies will NEVER fix it. Hell, i am a mod for the 2k forums and we have to make threads and ask the "fans" what was broken, what can the developers do to make the game better. I go and sift through every single post and turn in a report on what's broken and what idea's i think would be cool. I get to submit my report to the 2k PR manager and he submits it to the dev's. He then tells me what they think is cool and could possible be fit into the game. I would love for other companies to do that. Again, the fans know what works and what doesnt work. WE are the ones playing the game 500 times over.

This is 2008. Its time to go next gen. IMO EA took steps back.
People discussing the good, the bad, and the ugly about a game and someone bashing the game for the simple reason of bashing it, for whatever reasons that might be, are two completely different things.

As I said, I know the shortcomings of Madden. There are things that I wish were fixed, done better, omitted, or added. But the fact remains that I like the game. And for some people on this forum, thats hard to understand and even a harder pill to swallow.

And EA has been doing the Q&A on their message board. I don't know to what extent its being done, but at least its being done.

Re: Madden NFL 09: First Online Leagues Details and Video Clip

People have EVERY right to bash the game. This is a public discussion board. There are some people that come off saying crap this of F that, or that just sucks. I can come here and criticize the game in a mature matter (well most of the time).

We all have to realize that this is the ONLY NFL Football game, and we want it done right. Not just the same thing with a new coat of paint and updated rosters. If we dont like the way it comes out and its not a good game, then what? NO football gaming for the season? NFL football is one of the biggest sports, ok it is the biggest sports selling game, but so many of us have no choice if we want to play the game.

Madden gets everything it deserves good, bad and the very bad.

You do have a choice. You can still play 2k with updated rosters, if you feel that 2k is the better game although its 4 years old. Thats what I don't get. Everyone wants Madden to be more like 2k and criticize Madden for not meeting the "bar" that 2k set. Well, if 2k is so good, then play it. Why continously post your disappointments for Madden? Or worse yet, spend your money on Madden knowing that you are more than likely not going to enjoy the game.

And I don't think you understand what I am saying. I have no problem with people criticizing Madden for its faults. I do that myself. But to bash the game simply because its the only game in town, is made by EA, or its not 2k is nonsense.

Thats silly. What you completely overlook in this admonition is the fact that people upgraded machines. Not only that but EA makes promises it doesnt deliver on and then takes 4 months to fix it.

How is that silly?? Why is it silly to play a game you enjoy instead of complaining and spending money on one that you don't?

And people have updated machines??

Yep, he's not getting that part. He's trying to say play a 4 year old game, and thats my choice. Well, hell, i may as fire up Tecmo Superbowl. I think i have mine in the garage somewhere packed in a coardboard box.

We have NO other choice of an NFL game thats built for the Next gen console. So yes, people are going to be upset when its the same game as last year, but with new rosters. I cant believe he said the choice was a 4 year old game.
