Has the North American release of F1 2013 been cancelled?

According to some posters over at the Codemasters forums, local Gamestops have been telling their customers that the NA physical release of F1 2013 has been cancelled.

Codemasters has pretty much been silent on the situation. I know I can download the game on PSN, but I've always been one to want physical copies of game and I was getting stoked about this game. Plus, my internet is not the greatest and it would probably take at least a day to download the game.

Not sure if its canceled or not as there has been no official statement.

There are rumors that it wont have a physical release in NA and they seem to be gaining momentum.

I will say that I was like you in that I was resistant to use the download games vs. the physical disks in the past.

The digital copy thing is growing on me.

The other option would be to buy one from the UK from Ebay or Amazon.

People are posting on codemasters site that they have imported the PAL version and they work.

I did that with "MUD" last year and everything worked great.

No this is not true because cancellation is not done.

I tried to see if I could find out any info at Codemasters' forums, but apparently the forums have been cancelled!

It would be nice if we could get a solid answer to this question, but it doesn't seem to be forthcoming. Doesn't really make me wanna buy the game, even if it does come out.
